That's….very interesting. But for the amount of highly specific specialty ingredients, equipment, single-use foil, etc. I'd just as soon hammer out some chicken breasts, bread them, and pan fry them. Don't gotta monkey around making fake chicken when I can have the real thing for less money and less time!

I made seitan once or twice and found the final product to be somewhat boring, but this recipe gives me renewed enthusiasm. I'm definitely gonna try this out soon. I have like 5 lbs of vital wheat gluten in the cupboard, it's about time I got around to using it.

Looks like legit fried chicken! How would we adjust this recipe if we use seitan made from ap flour instead of vital wheat gluten flour? Would we still use the same ingredients and just replace the vwg with the seitan ball in the food processor?

Made the recipe per the instructions and my patties didn’t crisp up like his did when fried. They also had a strong vital wheat gluten flavor despite all of the seasonings used.
I ran and grabbed my 🍽️ plate 😂. I had to comment on this. Thank u for a great video, not fast and rushed. I watched the entire video because of that. I have been making Seitan Meats for some years now, lots of different delicious meals but I had never made crispy chicken like this. I am going to make it but add some of my own ideas lol but that is just how I do 😂. I subscribed cause I wanted to see what other meals you made, I think I tried to watch 10 YT shorts n videos before I was satisfied with yours. Great Job.
I honestly didn't think chicken powder was made with actual chicken. That's not what chicken tastes like.

My fillets felt too mushy, I boiled them because I don’t have a steamer.
My marinade wasn’t as thick as yours and i followed that to a T.
I prepared them today to fry tomorrow and I just hope other things don’t go bad :/
