Thank you for the inspiration. My husband is a runner. He ate all of the vegan meals I've been making for the past three years, happily, I know. Recently he turned to eating yogurt and cottage cheese after running a marathon and getting sick soon after. He said he felt like he was not getting enough calories. I have always encouraged him to eat bigger meals each time we ate together, knowing he is like a furnace with all the muscle he has and the tall, lean physique. But he never really ate larger meals. Now he eats the milk based products and I am looking for ways to increase protein and calories in general for him. I do not need extra calories…At 5'3", 62, and a pilates reformer practioner, I need much fewer calories. Your sauces and the tofu dish look like meals and dishes I would like to tackle. I'd like it if my husband would stop eating milk based products. Any thoughts on this? He is training for a half marathon next. I want to see cottage cheese, yogurt and cheese gone from his eating plan but it is his choice. I just do not feel that food is doing him any physical good.
Derrick, I'm just starting my journey towards the vegan lifestyle. I've been vegetarian for a little over a year now, and your lifestyle and videos have finally made me commit. There are a lot of vegan recipes out there that I have found to be too complicated, or that just didn't taste well. Your food is easy to make and it tastes great! You have a great attitude and great presentation. Don't change a thing. You rock brother!
I did this last night. I very much dislike cooking, so I complained the whole time, but I'm happy to eat today. I undercooked the oatmeal bars, so they're weird. I'll try again and cook them all the way. Thanks for the info!!
I dont live in Canada, and I have never heard of chili seasoning. When you talk about any spice mix it could be very good to tell what it consists of, or if you dont want to talk that as it can add length to videos, you could add that info in text form.
I made the oatmeal breakfast bake. Didn't have fresh berries so had to use frozen. Turned out a little bit more moist but definately delicious. Next time I'm going to try replacing the berries with some chopped fresh apple and a touch more cinnamon.
