Thanks! Great info
I love wearing the same type of thing too! decision fatigue!!! at night plop your hair in a scrunchi on the top of your head loose and your girls stay better!
I only have about three outfits. But multiples of those three. People recognize me by my style (since I often wear the exact same outfit for a season) 😂
Your a bit of a comedian aren't you? 👍
Hey Chels this slant towards a higher protein V lifestyle is timely. I’m 61, post menopausal and having sufficient amounts of protein for the AAs to counteract muscle loss in aging is important. That you’re here in NZ using products and produce I can easily lay my hands on gives us older wahine a blueprint that feels actionable. Local content for locals is what I need. Cheers
I always thought building muscle was a result of working out and eating enough calories. Is it necessary to increase protein significantly in order to build muscle?
Chelsea, you are so beautiful and so intelligent that I hope you don’t mind my comment. When you get older, you will probably regret all of your tattoos and also they interfere with your credibility… in my opinion.
Great video! I get so confused sometimes with which vegan diet is right for me. I'm working at losing 60 lbs and have lost 8 lbs so far, but I never know if I should be eating more protein ( I do have one vegan protein shake pet day). It depends on the day, but sometimes when I eat more protein. I stay fuller for longer. Maybe I'm not eating enough of the other foods?
You go girl! Love u More power to u
Just be aware of over doing it with the protein. Out muscles body can only process roughly 20-25kg protein at once. So having a 30 + G proteins meal your body isn’t actually benefiting. So it would be better to have 20/25 g per meal rather than having extra in one meal then only 10g for dinner.
Sorry if this is a bit like sucking eggs 🙈🙈
I get so confused with the whole protein thing. I'm 58 and I have read that older people need more protein because we lose it faster than younger people. what are your thoughts on that!! I workout on a regular basis with weight training and some cardio so I feel I'm on the right track with that, it's just this whole protein thing that gets confusing.
Muscle building journey so I’m here for the higher protein food orep
I am in the same boat. I have been on a journey to gain muscle for about 1 year now, but so important to be hitting our protein needs.
Keep in mind also lupini beans in glass jars for protein, I don’t know if you can find them easily in NZ. They are awesome snack and make really good burgers Edited to add: I am kind of a muscle mum. When I switched to WFPB I stopped caring about the protein as much a before.Right the other day I was listening to a chat here on YT between Simon Hill and Fritz Horstmann ((not sure if I remembered the surname correctly) but he is a vegan coach. Very interesting, really. I am now definitely back bringing up my protein again, as I am also much older than you. Also, definitely going back to my origin, to the nice Mediterranean diet.
Also listening to your podcast while walking, you have such a positive attitude that is contagious ❤
I shop doubles of anything I love or that works for me. Smart and efficient? 😅I’m sure people think I wear the same thing daily. 😬
Another fantastic video Chelsea with these high protein vegan meals. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕Chelsea.
Looking to build more muscle and becoming leaner and stronger while losing 5-10 pounds.
Already so excited! I am also a victim of “gym hair” and am thrilled to see videos about how you eat as you also increase training. Absolutely perfect for where I am right now as well. Thank you!!!
How did that frittata taste?
I stalled with my weight loss for 2 years after losing 35 pounds, completely weakening my metabolism, all while I continued on a healthy WFPB diet with low fat, no salt and high starches-carbs. However it seems that low fat has made me ill. I am now more lenient on myself, incorporating more fats like avocados and nuts , more proteins like tofu and legumes and way way less carbs like potatoes, rice and gluten free. I am again losing weight, feeling healthier. I also exercise and have gained my strength and muscle back again. ❤ The low fat trend IMO is dangerous. I am also not salt free anymore (as this too was unhealthy for me). After intensive research, I use Celtic salt and Himalayan salt as they are full of minerals which we lack on a no salt diet. What works for some, doesnt always work for others. We always should be evaluating and researching ….
