This is such a cool public diary-style video. It's very extensive, and scientific as others have noted. Good job. Years of your hard work are paying off. It must be really rewarding to see that sharing your experience not only motivates yourself, but other people. And not just for themselves, but the inherent enjoyment as fans of watching you put in all this work to achieve your ideal physique. We are all rooting for you, Danny!
That being said, you definitely have the ability to follow doing the cardio in there. As much of an inconvenience it might be, it seems like you know that's what you what from yourself. Your meta-view of yourself is strong, so psychologically, I think you're all set there. All that's left now is to incorporate the philosophical side, to resonate with that meta-view by taking a step away from how you view yourself, leave that on the side (because it will always be there, promise) and to concentrate on the view itself for as much as you can. Think about all the different benefits you'll get from doing that extra cardio, even at the expense of some extra calculating. Because without that resonation of your philosophy, when that moment comes of you seeing yourself feeling too lazy to get up and actually do that cardio, your mind may use that meta-view you have developed to be healthy for you and use it against you. "Oh, it's not gonna make much of a difference. You already told people to not be like you. You're going to be so tired, just don't even do it." Your brain can fight back, though. And it's going to say "Nah, this is important to me. Everything adds up. I told people to not be like me but I wouldn't want people to hold that standard for themselves. The only reason I gave that advice is because I am in my experience. If I was in someone else's experience, I would want to leave them with a positive image to hold to, so I'm going to be consistent on that for myself".
As for the point of not adding new foods to keep things easier to manage, just in case it helps, I used Chat GPT-4 to make a new meal that was inspired from your meal plan while maintaining my desired calories and macros that was written in that final meal I had for the day. Don't know if you've ever tried it or if that idea is already super obvious, but it did a great job when I fed it my specific nutrition from the exact bread and tofu that I buy (because calculating nutrition generically wasn't helpful lol).
I simply cannot believe that 2400kcal is your maintenance, weighing 174lb with that amount of muscle. Have you tested your thyroid labs and nutrient status by any chance?
Right there with ya bro! Grew up chunky and always worked on losing weight. Finally got lean as hell (coincidentally after I went whole food vegan) and have been working on building but have recently been in a weird maintenance phase too. Slowly been going up and committing to it more myself since beginning of oct. let’s gooo!
I am one of those with that type of metabolism that you hate and I hate you too 😉 In seriousness, I commend you for your commitment and using us to keep you disciplined. It would be great if you could share with your updates a general overview of what sets you are doing and what you are eating with some numbers. You got this!
Last year I bulked from october- april, but I am cutting it shorter now. 2 reasons. 1) after a bulk it is better to maintain that weight for 4-8 weeks. SO your body and metabolism can get used to the gained mass. 2) starting a cut in April to be lean in summer would be quite an aggressive cut and you might lose muscle. Check out Jeffrey Schofield, he has amazing tips as well.
It's called steroids and too much protein intake. I don't lift weights and I'm bulkier than you . I just eat about two lbs of mostly red meat a day without supplements.
As a person with a fast metabolism, ya, I think it sux way more to force yourself to eat than not to. There are so many other things I could be doing besides filling my face and I hate that overfull feeling. Love your honesty on this. Good luck fellow vegan lifter

I'd love to understand the why behind the bulk and is it better or worse for longevity?
bro please make more videos like this , even realistic meal plans for a college student will be helpful.
Hi I’m the high metabolism having person here 👋🏻 currently bulking on 3,800 calories

Im jealous of your 2400 cals, it takes me over 4000 calories to bulk, it feels like a job to cook and eat so much!
I am cutting 😀
(SINCE BIRTH)

You got this!
Are steroids vegan?
Very scientific.
How do you react if you can’t train for more than a week because of sickness or injury?
Sweet, thanks for this!
I’ve been on a permanent bulk for a while now. Busch heavy’s are great for bulking
Needed this. Thanks man

For me, when I drop below 85 kg i just get absolutely ravenous all the time and usually eat myself up to 100 again.
I’m trying out the HIT training with 300 calories a day above maintenance.
