I love eating meat sandwiches and vegan sandwiches depending on my appetite mood at the moment. Heck , I love grilled vegetables with meat or seafood combination sandwiches too! 😂 ❤
I find that if you have an idea in your head of what a food item is, your taste buds tend to prepare for and expect a certain type of flavour. So if you think something is sweet but it turns out to be savoury, it can taste disgusting. But if you have no expectations, it can be easier to enjoy something for what it is. That's what I find is the issue with imitation meat: the name creates a constant comparison with the meat product and how it should taste (as a baseline), instead of appreciating it as something independent of meat. Like I enjoy tempeh or deep-fried tofu for what they are, because they don't have a direct meat comparison and I just like them for what they are.
First of all, I’m really fucking proud of you guys for being open minded and actually tasting all of the stuff. It’s fairly amazing and home-cooked meals are always better than fast food! Also you guys mentioned a couple times that the Vegan’s are coming for you with their scientists and facts. So, here I am, I’ve been summoned. I think you guys did a great job and the real point to drive home was mentioned by a few of you that the Earth is on fire and please eat vegan options because they are not that much worse than the animal-based proteins but they are much better for the ecosystem, the animals and even your health. The consumption of animal proteins meat, dairy and eggs are responsible for heart, disease, diabetes, erectile dysfunction, liver disease, kidney disease, Alzheimer’s, and it doesn’t others since it affects the vascular system and the bodies ability to deliver nutrients and carry away waste products to the kidneys and out of the body so it causes systemic issues. We are also killing 2.7 trillion ocean animals and 84 billion land animals every single year within 30 years global scientists have a greed that we will see fishless oceans in part due to the massive fishing vessels that go out as well as all of the pollution, over 50% of all oceanic plastic is from the fishing industry goes nuts, buoys monofilament, line, and the trash that goes off of fishing vessels into the water. The vast majority of deforestation on earth is caused by animal agriculture as well due to the fact that the 84 billion land animals that we breed into existence each year have to eat a ton of plants. Scientists have weighed in saying that we would need three planet earths to grow the amount of plants to feed all of the animals that we have currently and have a balanced stable ecosystem with predators and wild species as well as the factory farmed animals so it’s just not feasible that we could do this on any scale whether it’s backyard animals or a single massive farm, the size of the United States that raised all of the livestock there’s no way.
I have tried plant based hamburger substitute at home on a few occasions. I fought to get rid of the dryness, but could never get past the severe lack of actual texture. I probably ruined the fake meat, by cooking it in puddles of butter.
@6:13 – OMF'nG, IT'S A UNIVERSAL THING!! They are soooo stingy with the mayo. I thought it was just me or just that particular spot, now you tell me its WORLD WIDE?!?!?
Am i the only one dissapointed in how the burgers seem to look? when i get a big mac they look pretty close to how its advertised… That said, ive tried several of the veggie one to see how they were. i was let down by the king's one. but i like the mcplant. ive had it more than once besides the rest that ive eaten!
For those who been eating meat for a long time and trying a plant version big tip get a magazine and a ton of toilet paper and pray to every God because your body will expel every demon to man
Like so many other life choices, I couldn't care less what you choose. When you force it on me or tell me my way is wrong, that's when we have a problem!
Can't ruin my argument for still eating meat! It's the myoglobin… I utterly enjoy it. A mouthful of "bloody" myoglobin. Like a meat flavored fruit punch

I'm a huge carnivore. And, I'll stay that way. lol
You don't need vegan wieners and sausages. Maybe next you'll want Vegan Ham and Vegan beef. It's getting ridiculous.
Why do vegans make their food look like carnivore food. Why vegan patties on buns just use whatever on bread.??????
We call it a "McShrub" or a "McDirt".

I have to watch my food budget. I would not mind eating vegan as long as the cost is not more than meat. The same goes with organic.
What kind of Big Mac was that? Not the same here in America. That was a Small Mac..

too bad plants don't have what we need 40-90% of our calories from so it doesn't matter anyway lmaoo

Okay, lets settle this right now. ANYONE who has ever seen "Soylent Green" will never go vegan.

Yeah, we're still waiting for McPlant in the US. (or at least at any of the McD's near me!!)
Vegan "meat", the only "healthy" option that is chock full of a billion chemicals

Yeah, revel in the vegan lifestyle, but demand it to still taste like meat.
