Veganism is not necessary in India because the dairy culture is not so cruel, you skip eggs and you're good to go with dairy because dairy products are made in most household of India.

Doctor's so confused and misleading about the notion of vegan. You can be a vegetarian/non-vegetarian and still have deficiency of B12. B12 is from a bacteria adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin. These are the sources of it. And again, supplementing them won't cost a lot as well. Basically in the name of paneer, ghee and milk, cows go through abuse, rape and years of torture. Think about it.

Vegans can eat all medicines with chemicals and sometimes non veg substitutes in medicines. Whey protein is also milk based.

Stop spreading lies. The only supplement you need is B12 and it's very cheap.
