Kinda weird to list the meat industry as a major player then list a whole bunch of issues that wouldn't have been issues if the meat industry had more sway.
I'm allergic to tuna, halibut, and salmon any good recommendations for fish that might work for me?
Well, protein is common sense…. Or… it shoul be😅
I wonder where people get the idea that whole wheat bread takes more energy to process in your body. In both cases the grain kernel has been milled to powder. The starch is as accessible in whole wheat bread as it is in white bread!!!
Keto is the only way to go to be completely healthy.
woah!
that glass of oil is just refreshing especially on a nice warm day
The fact that we barely need milk is yet america pushes the campaign for milk so hard is scary
Just get Goverment out of Nutrition.
I've got a question here. Since insulin, besides its role in regulating blood glucose, also promotes the storage of fats and discourages its breakdown, if you don't want to, or are medically unable to, go full keto, would it be better for weigh loss to separate your consumption of carbs and fats?
I turn all my milk into kefir…is that better?
Hi uncle I am big frand
Original nutrition studies were done by deliberately starving indigenous children in residential schools
The four basic food groups are: sugar, caffeine, salt and fat. Chocolate is the prefect food because it contains all four.
I love it when Mike trashes Dietitians, I’m wondering why do you hate them Dr Mike? We are educated as well. Doctors don’t need to take that much nutrition classes if any. But whatever I guess, this is why I unsubscribed from you, you have a superiors view on your own profession
Maybe not cup of olive oil that’s like over 2000 calories
Dairy, corn and meat industry? lmao – ancel keys corruption is calling you out mike….how do you mix up unhealthy corn with highly nutritious dairy and meat?? noticed you forgot to mention sugar industry, agriculture (soy, canola, cottonseed etc)…your information is compromised – nice try to demonize meat and dairy – is the vegan/fruit/veg industry paying you to mouth these things? You demonize red meat just as the debunked ancel keys studies did – red meat is amazing for health.
He isn't saying drink the olive oil he is saying swap out dairy for olive oil how you use the olive oil is up to you. personally i like to use it in my salad dressing with lemon juice, lime juice and balsamic vinegar.
Beef burgers are healthy except for the bun.
From the keto/carnivore side, your fascination with vegetables is infuriating. Like, I'm over here having 1-2 qts of raw milk everyday and living off of eggs and ruminant flesh. Best I've ever felt.
lol fish is such a healthy food: it contains heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants. are you a real doctor? and olive oil is not a healthy fat. it's less harmful than saturated fats, but you shouldn't promote drinking of oil ffs. all dairy is excess for adults. especially dairy from unrelated species. most of earth's adult population can't even digest milk properly. chicken is not healthy and all plants are made from proteins, were you skipping classes at school?
Wouldn’t potato’s be considered a starch instead of a vegetable
100% fat in whole fat milk, dude how smart of a brain do you need to give out such answers
Thank you Dr Mike! I’ve been researching what to eat off and on for over a year. It’s so confusing and discouraging. I appreciate the clarification.
I hate it when people criticize potatoes.
Potatoes are very healthy, the problem with them is not that they are unhealthy, it’s that people put butter, sour cream, cheese and/or they fry them in oil and all kinds of other fatty processed things. Potatoes are an inexpensive vegetable that doesn’t go bad quickly. We need to stop labeling whole food items as “bad”. It’s all about how much, how often and what you eat them with.
This Interview with people about nutrition was a culture shock for me. How can you not know the amount of fat in milk or the fundamental nutritional rules?
20 – 30 years from now they probably will be laughing at OUR nutritional guidelines😅😂😂
Do you have a video on the Mediterranean diet?
My doctor put me on the DASH diet and when I was looking for a cookbook I saw that many of them are a mix of DASH and the Mediterranean diet
That was really terrible. The presentation was frenetic, and the information was nothing new. Telling people the same thing over and over again in the midst of an obesity epidemic is Einstein-ian isanity.
I HEARD of My Plate in elementary
7:10 amount of recommended oil not to scale.
So basically, the government has misled us about what we should eat since 1894. But NOW we should trust them. 🙄
seeing olive oil in a drinking cup was mildly disturbing for some reason lol
Yes it is that bad. Especially if you are diabetic. Whole grains still do spike my blood sugar. Adding fat and proteins whenI eat carbs makes a smaller spike. Uuuuuugggh. Thank you for all your work and doing these Dr. Mike
What’s always boggled my mind is how much $ the avg American household spends on sugar liquids. Soda, juice, (most, but not all) protein shakes, coffee/creamer, smoothies, etc. It’s fr crazy to read estimates like $1500-$3500/yr. The fiscal impact alone is shocking, but then you start thinking about the physiological ramifications on top of it 😬
Evry thing unhealty done
It’s so sad that’s not common education
Doc Mike for President
And Dr mine forgot black bread that's eaten commonly in eastern Europe
