Taking over the former site of the outstanding vegan eatery, Vertigo on Cross Street, Pastan is set to open its doors at the end of the month bringing with it an indulgent menu of 100% plant-based pasta.
The restaurant began its journey back in November 2020, first opening in London with the aim of providing a menu full of natural food that doesn’t compromise on flavour.
It features both a lunch and evening menu, with uniquely curated dishes and some familiar favourites done the vegan way. For example, Pastan will serve a fully vegan Carbonara served with a homemade creamy sauce and lardons, alongside Cacio e Pepe, a traditional Bucatini pasta with black pepper sauce straight from Rome.
There’s also a range of fresh pastas available on the evening venue, spanning pumpkin and sage tortellini, a Barcelona-inspired apricot harissa dish and a beetroot cheese sauce tagliatelle topped with courgette spaghetti, crunchy vegetables and beetroot hummus.
With all of this sounding rather heavenly, you’ll be thrilled to know that the restaurant will be offering a bottomless ‘prunch’ when it opens its doors this month, too! Already a huge success in London, Pastan’s prunch comes with bottomless Aperol, Prosecco, Barbera or Trebbiano, as well as an antipasto, any pasta dish and two mini vegan doughnuts.
With sustainability at the forefront of everything it does, Pastan has collaborated with Carbon Free Dining, which gives restaurants and their customers the opportunity to mitigate the environmental impact of their meals by planting life-changing fruit trees in the developing world. By adding just £1.23 onto your bill, a tree will be planted, carbon emissions are reduced and the lives of those less fortunate in the developing world are improved.
Pastan will open its doors on Cross Street at the end of the month, serving a range of delicious plant-based Italian classics, cocktails and desserts for an evening of indulgence.
