Lake Champlain launched a new packaged dessert for retail shelves, titled the ‘Vegan Caramel Poinsettias.’ The Vegan Caramel Poinsettias are made from 100% fair-trade dark chocolate mixed with sea salt and coconut cream to create a delectable, better-for-you dessert over other packaged chocolates. Additionally, the Vegan Caramel Poinsettias are made with organic ingredients, meaning the desserts themselves are environmentally-friendly.
The packaging for the Vegan Caramel Poinsettias is also environmentally friendly. According to Lake Champlain, the packaging is made out of sustainable-sourced bagasse, and the design is printed with eco-friendly vegetable-based inks. In fact, Allyson Myers, the Director of Marketing & Customer Experience at LCC, stated: “These new chocolates fill the need for a delicious, beautifully packaged gift that is environmentally friendly, both inside and out.”
