I was searching for a new youtube channel with vegan recipes and I would have subscribed but my pet peeve is too much chatter and talking to me like i know you. Im just trying to learn and want basics. Obviously you have a sponsor (very long…plus extra commercials ugh) The clincher was I certainly don’t want to hear about your period while im watching a cooking show. 🥹 Terribly unappetizing. We actually don’t need as much protein as we have been lead to believe. Protein deficiency is rare and almost unheard of in the US.
A word of caution for anyone making the vegan deli slices. I just broke my ninja food processor kneading the seitan dough. Kneading by hand might be a safer option😂
On a positive note, my seitan is in the oven after some follow-up hand kneading and smells delicious 😊
Regarding the tofu, I use firm to make tofu scramble. I recently discovered that freezing and thawing helps remove more water, but it came out too dry and I found I like it with some liquid. Do you have any recommendations for just how much water I should press out so that it's still moist but not soaked?

For high protein vegan milks, try Edensoy's unsweetened soy milk. It has 12 g of protein per cup and it's much more natural as it has only two ingredients: soy and water. 😉

To everyone who is concerned about not getting enough Protein. If you eat the Calories you need you will get enough. The Strongest Animals are plant eaters and they usually don't eat lentils/beans. And if you would eat only Salad the whole day – the amount of calories you need – you would get around 100 to 150 grams of protein
In the Caribbean they make peanut punch. Made with a lot of similar ingredients you just used. Except for tofu they use milk. Look up recipe . I'm too lazy to post

It's always weird to me how Americans are positively obsessed with eating protein, when the number of Americans not getting enough protein in their diets is roughly zero. The number of Americans who don't eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables is vastly higher, yet it's vegetarians who have to justify our diets. 🙄
