We love mushrooms, there’s no denying it. They make any dish better, they adapt to any flavour you throw at them and they have such an amazing texture.

Hi from South Africa.
As usual the recipe is very practical an a must try. I am certain it will be a HIT. please tell me what sause you are using (tamara – not sure if i have the correct name) .
Mushrooms, any and all are simply scrumptious to me! I love the king oyster variety but they can be hard to find. The Asian grocery that carries them is way across town but worth making the drive. That sammie with the best hummus looks awesome too.
Looks delicious.
7:18 Is Dave secretly from Belfast with that accent? π
Great video. Here in the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving in a few weeks can you post some side dishes or, main courses? Thank you

Loved 'I love a good chop!' as the cheek was being chopped away!
The Asian leek and onion, if I have to choose
I love these tweens
Ugh I hate onions. Can't eat them π but that aside … I love mushrooms. Great video! I am going to do mushrooms three ways too! I will tag you. Thanks for the inspiration. #plantstrong
First option is great!
The 3rd option is the fastest. I do it once a week.
Mushrooms are not plant tho
They're mushrooms
I love mushroom, i forage for them every years. I like mushroom omelette. Or mushrooms with parsley and garlic
Vegans burger doesn't exist technically tho. There must be a beef patty between 2 buns to be called a burger, thats the strict minimum. So i call that a sandwich
Definitely would like to have a go at the mushrooms that cooked in the oven. You guys really seemed to love the taste of it.
I love mushrooms! π Thank you!!! βοΈππ±
Of course!! Michael Greger, whom I really like because of his evidence approach to whole plant-based food doesn't let a day go by without eating these delicious things. Interesting fact 1: among the regularly available mushrooms in supermarkets, button mushrooms unjustly despised are younger versions of cremini mushroom — think you know them as chestnuts mushroom and if they keep growing you get Portobello; who knew? Also rated 2 highest nutrient density, affordable also. Highest in western world; dried porcini. I mix them up. Other facts; the synergy effect. Using a variety of anything, not rigidly in same meal exponentially increases bioabsorption of nutrients.
LASTLY (what a comment motor mouth I can become) — and this has nothing to do with mushrooms — I used to like a certain Lebanese restaurant which served aubergine steaks, still the meaty theme. 1 inch thick, salted over a colander for 1/2 hr perhaps; drain and rinse, pat dry. Aubergines as you guys know soak up oil and this improves texture and prevents that phenomenon. Grill or oven bake with some oil and Italian herbs and lemon juice. Who knew it would be so easy?? Must try. Tx as always; my sis is back from keto which gave her hubby gout in the space of 2 yrs; I recommended your channel and she's over the moon. Cheers!
I use dried Shitake mushrooms available in Waitrose, just give them a quick soak and they are ready to use. Great if you are pushed for time, rather than chopping and removing soil etc from fresh mushrooms. Also cheaper if you are into Shitake.
I do use fresh ones but really like these. Not suitable for burgers but they'd be great in the bake.
Mushrooms are very like meat especially the portobello variety, juicy, and full of b vitamins. I buy ready made mushroom burgers but I use the dried ones in casseroles, stir fries and on toasties or in pasta sauce.
The pressing technique with a pan is interesting I'll try that to reduce liquid in fresh mushrooms.
Fabulous, Gents! A question for everyone: how many of you have bitten into a portobello burger only to have the entire mushroom come out of the bun and then it lays hanging from your teeth on your chin…???!!!??? π³
Yo dudes
Love it!
Yay, Steve's back from Greece.
Nice tan π
I want to try the burger. Normally I do trumpet mushrooms shredded and pan fried or baked.
I love them all!! Yummy!! Love from California!!
Mushroom burger is my winner. I love mushrooms any way you cook them.
I sometimes just watch you guys not because a fancy a new recipe but because I want to get some of your good vibes π
It can't be that good of a meat substitute when it doesn't even have any protein.. I love mushrooms but like
