Those last 10 pounds are always the toughest haven't checked out your book yet but great information. I usually get the phenomenal results when someone has to lose 100 to 60 or 70 lb. Once they're closed 220 to 30% body fat you have to track the calories were the micronutrients.

Very informative video. I like how you mentioned starchy foods as well, I believe those are definitely a staple. Potatoes are the best. For anyone looking to transition to a vegan or plant based diet I truly recommend going vegetarian first. I’ve gone plant based about 3-4 times in my life and it’s now worked this time (lol finally). No craving for meat, diary or any other animal products. I believe going vegetarian first gives you some time to really transition into veganism. It’s the best decision I’ve made thus far for myself, since going vegetarian and then vegan I’ve lost 12 lbs. That weight is not only from my diet or you could say lifestyle, but exercise as well. Vegan is the future, you can do it! Thanks again for sharing! ^_^

That last point is so key. I used to think counting was forbidden, big mistake.
Is it absolutely mandatory to count calories? I want to eat brown rice pasta with lentil bolognese but I have no idea how to measure bolognese in calories..

What do you think about shredded wheat? Sometimes, I eat cereal at night and I eat my bigger starch meal, beans potatoes and veggies for lunch lunch. I’m looking to lose about 10 pounds and maintain good health. I’ve been following the WFPB way of eating for 3 weeks and lost maybe 2 pounds. Thanks for your input.

"refined" carbohydrates like white rice and white pasta may not be that bad for weight loss. Too much fibre can cause bloating and sluggish athletic performance. If you're on a strict whole food plant based diet already, adding in some of these "refined" carbs could be beneficial. Personally, I find white rice much easier to digest than brown rice. I eat all my starches in a stew of lentils, beans, tomato sauce, brocolli, and carrots so fibre deficiency is never an issue.
Wonderful! Did you see Dr. Gregor's nut videos? In 14 out of 16 studies where ppl. ate a handful of nuts for 8 weeks, on top of their daily diet, did not gain weight. Thousands of calories were not absorbed. It's nuts! Please check it out and let us know what you think. I am at my ideal weight and find when I stray to the fake foods that I do not feel as good and go back to real food. Thanks for the coaching and support! xo
