I have been told I am borderline anorexic- I disagree. I don't each much, a protein bar, yogurt and fruit – about 500 calories a day, over 6 yrs- I am older than you, much older and I do take vitamins. In the last few months my long hair ( no cut because of covid, normally wear a pixie- I refuse to eat meat fish or fowl) I panicked because I took a mirror and tweezers and searched for peach fuzz, new growth on the hairline- not now. My physician wants me to get blood work done because he said 1 kind of hair loss is PERMANENT- I DONT WANT TO WEAR A CORNY WIG. I was told rosemary oil would restore hair but medical studies say only minoxidil will truly restore hair- any suggestions? Namaste from Canada.
"How I deal with it" er, have a glass of milk?
I never experienced hair loss on a plant-based diet. Probably because I wasn't eating an especially low fat diet, probably about 20-25 percent of calories from fat, mostly from tofu, beans, vegetable oils, etc. I ate alot of Tex-Mex (bean burritos, chili beans) and Asian type foods (stir fried vegetables with tofu, miso soup, etc.)
You weren't getting in enough nutrients..
That diet sounds very restrictive and unbalanced.
I am taking vitamins and nothing seems to happen. I eat protein, i dont know how much but i dont know if it is that. I fe el so discouraged 😔
I am a man and veganism made my hair thicc af
You're not eating enough variety.
You said you're not vegan, therefore you're eating animal products. There's your answer.
Just like being a Democrat, non-vegans lie about everything. You have the darkest most healthiest hair from all the wonderful things a plant based diet feeds your hair.

I experienced hair loss, but my hair was still growing now my hair grows super fast like 2-2.5 inches a month. Also any diet change will make your hair fall
Oh, darling…
WOW! So many people here complaining of how bad their hair looks because of the vegan diet and the hair loss they experience and I am here, vegan for 3 years, fully raw for a year, growing my hair like crazy and having new baby hair all the time with no freaking supplement EVER taken!!! Also, healthier than ever with the best blood test results I could imagine while they sucked during my carnivore diet. Peace! ♥
Vegan is a lifestyle not a diet!
I lost a lot of my hair and I was so worried. I started taking vegan multi vitamins, B complex and biotine
Lol, "I'm not a vegan or good person or anything just to be clear, I just want to be healthy myself" hilarious absurdity.
Ive been on a plant based diet for 8 months now and have gone from 155lbs to 137lbs while working out intensely and have experienced thinning scalp…
I hear many people keep on speaking about Rozefatrun Method. But Im not sure if it is good. Have you ever tried using this hair loss home remedy?
For me, the first few months going vegan I did have some hair loss and seemed poorer condition, but now it’s been a few years it’s thickened back up and growing very well! Don’t let that put you off the vegan life, your body adjusts after few months – just eat more nuts and avocados in the meantime! Xxx
😭😭😭 Girl I am transitioning & wow ! My hair its soo thin now its crazy ! Thank you ! Never crossed my mind this lifestyle would do that, gotta get the right nutrients asap !
What exactly is Rozefatrun Method? How does this thing really work? I notice lots of people keep on speaking about this hair loss home treatment.
What are some ways to cure your hair loss and regrow it safely? I read plenty of good opinions on the net about how exactly Rozefatrun Method can help you cure your balding hair and regrow it safely. Has anyone tried using this hair loss home treatment?

I don't think i will do this.
Iron deficiency , that’s what I.T was
THANK YOU!!!
I've been vegan for about 2-3 years now. In this time I have lost so much hair! My hair is so thin and brittle now, is the worse thing. I do take iron, zinc, vitamin B and other vitamin supplements and still no improvement. I dont know what to do! It's so horrible and I don't want to go back to a meat and dairy diet due to the ethics. Any advice would be wonderful, thank you in advance!
Thankyou for this. I’m losing my hair by the handful since going vegan.. I thought I was the only one. I am ordering iron(I’m anemic and haven’t been taking it) and b supplement tonight. Thankyou! Oh yea and thanks for getting straight to the point. That’s rare on YT
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been going through exactly the same thing!
how did you find out what you were deficient in?
you and your hair look great. great that u are mostly plant based.
how do u know u need iron?
your hair is so beautiful!
I'm a guy and i am def experiencing this.. thin patches on my head while i didnt have those 2 months ago.
how long did it take for you hair to become healthy again? @beautyklove
I was a vegan for four years (was 16 when I started). I lost so much hair, weight, and my skin didn't even approve. I still suffered oily skin despite eating plants and having protein intakes. I do not recommend being vegan, unless your doctor says it's okay. I went to my doctor, and she told me I need to eat meat and fats again. Also, I have anemia, so throughout those years, I was so weak. Can barely walk a mile without being so tired. Ever since I ate meat again, my hair is slowly started getting thick again, and I gained weight, but healthy weight, and have so much more energy now. It's not for everyone, it wasn't for me.
for iron on a plant based diet, if u aren't on any heart medications or have other medicinal complications, take nettle, dandelion root, yellow doc root, or burdock.
GO FULLY VEGAN .
Dearest,
You are so beautiful both inside and outside.
I am a vegetarian and had the same problem. I narrowed it down to protein deficiency.
Your hair may have been shedding all the old hair for new hair. Also, I notice that I strive as a vegan if I eat lots of fruit in the morning and sometimes Iunch; and can still eat a variety of vegan foods in evening. Fruit, leafy greens, and eating a lot helps the most. I love being vegan. For the planet, animals, health, and for hungry countries.
you should really look at the ethical side of veganism 🙂 It's so important
Same! Omg same! Thank you for making this video. I've been experiencing the exact same thing. The hair loss is actually starting to scare me and it just started a few days ago.
But I'm also recovering from years of damage so that could be another factor. I'd never stop my vegan lifestyle though.
And I get the whole "you're losing too much weight" thing 😂
