Mom cooks corned beef or beef with cabbage and we eat it with rice. I don't like chicken in sinigang (Filipino sour soup and my most favorite food) although I like it in other dishes.
Hi heidi! I really appreciate the fact that you changed your lifestyle so you can stop being dependent on pharmaceutical drugs and making your own herbal medicine instead. May I ask, have you considered changing your diet in accordance to the biblical standards found in Leviticus 11? I believe biblical diet is the way to go for a strong and healthy body.
I have pinched nerves at L3,L4 and L4,L5 and no catelige in knees and have no pain because I use turmeric, I take 2 when I get up and 1 every 3-4 hours after. My leg was going numb but life came back after changing the way I took turmeric. I am not a doctor do not listen to me, I was hit by lightning so I had a head injury too
Avocado oil, 6 Yukon gold Potatoes, 5 carrots, half a red cabbage and a quarter of a green cabbage, 4 big cloves garlic, half a red onion, half a white onion, a box of organic veggie broth, water to cover, pickling spice and salt. It was yummy!!! Need to make some green powder!
wonderful recipe! I've been doing kielbasa and cabbage probably 30 years but nothing else in it and cook it on the stove top. Sometimes I switch up the kielbasa for Italian sausage.
For a conventional oven I would do it just as you suggested–half hour at 350, stir, another half hour at 350. For leftovers, I would probably convert to a stew with a little broth and some heavy cream, maybe some fresh chopped parsley to freshen it up a bit.
Knock knock anybody home i have question…. Since you have gone through a few food saver machines are they much the same or is there something i should look for in particular?
JoJo here with a new icon. Hi Heidi, my sweet husband is Polish and truly appreciates my efforts in making him Polish meals. This one sounds wonderful and much easier than trying to follow his mother's recipes. Early on in our marriage I learned not to add hot spices that I Love. He prefers things simple. I wonder if this can be pressure canned, but without the potatoes. Hmm, something for me to research.
God Bless and Thank you so much! P.S. I secretly add the green powder to his smoothies, popsicles, yogurt and even scrabbled eggs that also have Kielbasa in them.
Thank you Heidi.π This recipe reminded me of an Eastern European soup I make with kielbasa, kale and beans (maybe another option for vegan). It didn't occur to me to make it more like a casserole. I like the idea!π I've tried to like kale but it's just a texture thing for me. I do like it with the cabbage in Concannon and in that soup though. Love and blessings!π€π
Looks yummy Heidi. I'm not vegan but I do like to have a few plant based meals each week so thanks for the mushroom idea! Have you come across any research about how much nutrition is retained when you dehydrate food? Just curious. I usually freeze some kale and other greens for use in soups and casseroles but I am definitely running out of freezer capacity. And I don't really like canned greens like spinach or collards. Thanks!
I use a lot of cabbage, for either meat or vegan days. I like to add my home made sweet pepper relish (a couple spoonfuls) to cabbage dishes. The flavorful vinegar in the relish brings out the flavor. We have decided we prefer a lot of onion in our cabbage. Plus garlic.
Wow, that flew by fast! Cabbage and sausage soup has long been a favorite ever since I discovered how much I liked cabbage years ago before I even knew how nutritious it was.
The blending of the leaves together, Heidi, is STELLAR! π Thanks for the "nugget"! π You are awesome, girl! Keep going! We love you out here in MN! π Dawn @ Rich & Dawn in MN π (I love the vegan option, btw :))
Thanks for the video I make something close to that I think I will make it tonight. I am going to try dehydrating eggs in a couple of days. You have so many great ideas. Thank you so much keep up the good work. I am always looking for new dinner ideas.
Yummy recipe! I made something like that many years ago…it had potatoes, carrots, onions, and kielbasa. I remember it was so delicious. I think I need to make it again and use variations…adding mushrooms, etc. Thanks for the ideas!

I can't understand people who won't eat leftovers, most things I cook taste better the next day. π
Sounds great , We make hubby's family Kaposta at New Years and use cabbage but more sauerkraut. Yummy on a a good cold night.

What is the name of the item you use to pump the air out of the jars?
I do that! I put at dried mixed greens in everything. Even baked goods. Nobody has noticed so far. πππ»
I make basically the same dish and you're right it is delicious. Sometimes I add bell peppers to it. ππ Kendra

Hi Heidi π
Thanks for the vegan option Heidi. Maybe a plant based Italian style sausage would work to keep it similar to the regular recipe.
The blending of the leaves together, Heidi, is STELLAR! π Thanks for the "nugget"! π You are awesome, girl! Keep going! We love you out here in MN! π Dawn @ Rich & Dawn in MN π (I love the vegan option, btw :))
I love kielbasa and cabbage!
Looks delicious. I have only discovered how delicious and nutritious cabbage is in the last few years. Thanks for sharing.
With your stinging nettle, does it need to be blanched or anything before you dehydrate it? Thank you for another fun video!
Kielbasa i had to google the word sad face with huge respect if you were vegan you would not try this full stop just sayin

I wanna make that with sauerkraut.
Good looking meal , thanks for sharing ,God bless !
A lil cayenne pepper would be good in there too. Also turmeric.
Sounds simple and delicious. Thanks.

I agree with the stainless steel/glass lids. We bought Cuisinart about 10 years ago and couldnβt be happier.
