Wait watermelon What? Be right back going to the farmer's market. 5 hours later, can confirm this is deliciously blew my mind. Next you'll do something great with the zucchini I bought too, oh wow, you did. Thanks Jill for the great recipes.
Iβm dehydrating mine now. I had to cut them half the thickness of yours because I used all the trays in my Excalibur and they didnβt want to go inside. I hope they still turn out okay.
What a great way to use up a watermelon when you have so much left over!
We made this and I love it! Not everyone in the house did though and some suggested we try it without the savory additions. Thanks for the inspiration!
I chop the watermelon rind strips into smaller pieces and freeze on a tray. After freezing pop them into a zip lock bag and use in smoothies. They give a lovely fresh taste.
As always, love the recipes. Also, I appreciated the clarification at 4:58 about chickens! When you mentioned them earlier in the video I admit I was surprised, although knowing your compassion for animals I decided to assume that you had opened up a micro sanctuary for rescued chickens.
i love squeezing line on my watermelon
can we use oven instead of that dehydrayed machine?… I dont have that machine π
To get you on PBS. Try getting the products you are using as sponsors. Pans, parchment paper, Braggs, seasoning vendors, utensils, Nutra Bullet, etc.. I bet your husband can solicit these vendors so we can get your own tv show. Just a thought
This is one cool recipe!
Wish I had a dehydrator
This is the season to try making it!! Thank you Jill. The first year I came to this country.I was gifted a jar of delicious pickles by a friend of Swedish descent. I couldn't figure what was used to make them. It turned out to be watermelon rind. Boy was that tasty!
Maybe it's not pertinent but I really would need your help in this. How do I replace oil in a chickpea pizza recipe? Apparently, without oil, the chickpea crust becomes crumbly but I would love to use a whole food instead. Thanks!
Jill
You haven't answered my last question.

Hi Jill
Why didn't you get the Nutri Bullet NB50100C Pro 1000 Watt, instead of the Nutri Bullet PRO 900 Watt?
I'm looking one, but don't know if I should get the 1000w or the 900w.

Mine is the 1000 w. It is great but burns up the blades after a few months

My Mom made amazing watermelon pickle with the rindβ¦so many of her recipes were in her head, but I need to try this and find a pickle recipe!
Call me suggestible, but I need to get a hydrator ! Thank you looks yummy ππ
Wow!!! This is my first time seeing this, thank you very much will try itππ₯°
Can I do this with an air frier
I don't have dehydrator, so waiting till I see first taste comment on someone who's made this, from the channel here.
It's intriguing as hell, for sure!
π Can this be done if you donβt have a dehydrator?
Thank you. π is very versatile ππππΎββοΈ
Where I am we call jerky biltong, and it's always meat. Fruit biltong … the closest thing we have to this is dried fruit, but this is spicy and sounds amazing. I suppose one could dry it out on an oven rack in the absence of a dehydrator. This is worth a bash! ππ€
Sounds good…. never heard of it though.
I've always wanted to try this and now I have a recipe π
Looks good. I think Iβm going to check out Trader Joeβs and see if I can find them there. If I like them, Iβll try this out. Thanks Jill!!
I love this channel. Not only are your recipes so very do-able; I, like you, like food that packs a punch of flavor and you do that kind of seasoning consistently. These are exactly the kinds of recipes for me.
Another great recipe video Jill and why would you want or need to buy a ready-made store bought version when a home made version will always be better? Love π₯° the video and love π Jill.
I'm definitely going to make this recipe. Looks amazing!

I have never heard of this. My mom wasted nothing. She used all kinds of rinds and stuff. Sometimes being poor allows us to appreciate all foods.
