This isn't even a debate anymore. They have conservatives so fooled! It is a medical fact wholefood plant-based is the healthiest diet for humans i.e. 7th day Adventist, parts of Italy, Greece and parts of Costa Rica. The highest levels of MD'S and RDN'S. Dr Kim Williams (president of cardiology,) Dr Cyrus Khambatta PhD and Dr Pam Popper PhD. I see this everyday. 20 yrs med lab with diet nutrition background. People wake up!! Get off the meat and dairy! It is inflammatory and cancer causing.
The seventh day Adventist in the US out live other Americans the difference between a smoker to a nonsmoker. There is absolutely no doubt wholefood plant-based is the healthiest diet. This is where I stray from conservatives. I will also outlive them…..
there is no mention of the burning of the rainforrests in Brazil etc to make way for farmland and grain to feed the animals. no mention of the gut bacteria that multiplies the tmao in the blood (linked to diseases) from feeding on the flesh in stomach.no mention of ….. the fact cows are supplemented with b12.. that cows get their protein from eating vegetables
The big push is about vested interests and profit margins.
Blaming Cows is ludicrous. If vegetarians and vegans want to target something they should target fast food and commercially raised farming. Not sustainable farming. The soil and grass needs cattle.
The problem is there are too many people jumping on the band wagon not doing their research.
Are they missing the point here! Most vegans are vegan because they don’t want animals being gassed and their throats slit. A lot of foods are processed I agree, but you can live on wholefoods and if you want a plant burger then have one. It’s the taking of life that is the issue not the way the food is made, but they brush over that. Cognitive dissonance once again.
One of the stupidest interviews I have seen. Both the interviewer and interviewee were speaking as if on autotune.
How much water is needed to grow a single cow??? Rationalization of insanity is one of the supreme qualities of an uneducated person (Alex Mars), and these people are extremely good at it.
so much mis in for mation being spread thicker and thicker, U can easily find tonnes of studies that refute every thing these 3 numb sters R saying❣
Veganism is dangerous to humans long term. Stay well away from it
Vits A D E And K are fat soluble only you need fat in your diet to absorb them and fat halts muscle wastage aswell, liver has vits that are already converted making it far more beneficial than than any other food, the older you get the less efficient your body gets at absorbsion which speeds the aging process, farmed
veg has very little trace elements in the soils and synthetics are added, the global elite promote ill health with false narrative and draw in the gullible……
Bollocks!
eat as much meat as you can!
We should use fossil fuels. Renewable energy is unreliable.
Most don't realize that meat contains more vitamins, minerals and caloric value than any plant matter.
Why am I even watching these clowns….?
I'm 60 years old and been on a plant based diet for a decade and I've never been healthier. People say I look 40. I was on medication for high cholesterol and high blood pressure that my doctor said I'd be on for life. I'm now on no medications. Like any diet you can of course be unhealthy on a 'vegan' diet as most crisps, some biscuits and chips are all 'vegan'. Some vegan comfort foods like burgers and pizza aren't healthy but aren't meant to be. The same as the non vegan versions they are meant as an occasional treat.
I have a friend who is 66 years old and never eaten any animal products since he was about 6. A doctor told his mother he likely wouldn't make it to 10 years old. He's still here, incredibly fit and looks way better than most meat eating 66 year old's I know.
This woman says there are nutrients in meat that you can't get from plants. If that's the case, how come all these animals people eat to get all these magical nutrients from eat…PLANTS!? They seem to have no problem getting all these nutrients to pass on.
Oh and my 66 year old friend assures me he's taken no vitamins or supplements ever. Not even B12! I wouldn't recommend that as I know people (ironically only meat eaters) that have been diagnosed with B12 deficiency and had to take supplements. I take a B12 supplement and that's the only one I take.
Jayne sounded convincing when talking about Oat milk producers being asked to correct environmental positives for choosing oats instead of dairy. The Advertising Standards Authority upheld the advertising needed further clarity over a percentage Oatly used. That was all. It was deemed misleading as it implied this was standard across all of their products. This part is true. But Jayne left out the ASA overturned complaints that oat milk wasn’t better for the environment. In fact, it confirmed the leading science (Joseph Poore) shows oats are vastly better for the environment than dairy. More balance needed from both guests and presenters.
Interesting to see how much of what she was saying was true. Discovered that plants have all the B vitamins, except for B12, in their bio available form in abundance. B12 isn’t an issue if supplementing (in actuality, supplementing is possibly the best for everyone). Animal and animal product eaters may have denser bones but this most likely because they are statistically more likely to be obese and the body has to condition bones to carry the extra weight. Five a day was a campaign to make it catchy, but this failed. In fact, for the majority of people eating a vast range of actual plants (not highly processed food meat alternatives) can significantly improve health. Get people on who actually study the subject to give true balance. The balance should surely come from a balanced interpretation of research from someone who understands it.
This is the most dumb none scientific discussion on diet I’ve heard in a long time. “A bit of what you fancy can’t be bad for you”.
Dumb
Messaging like drink milk for strong bones? Not that kind of messaging. So long as it’s against what you believe it’s bad?
You don’t need all those supplements. B12 is the only one to be concerned about and most meat is fortified
Nut production all in all is carbon neutral
Don’t fly too. Also, you’re only eating 4oz of meat three times a week and that’s it? Or are you eating cheese and milk too? And lamb? And chickens? And fish?
Try again
What an astoundingly inaccurate bunch of complete bullshit.
Wonder how much the meat industry paid her?
The collective body of science is what matters here. Not individual cherry-picked studies or anecdotes that fuel confirmation bias for the majority. And the collective is very clear – a wholefoods plant-based diet is great for human health and can help to end the epidemic of (preventable) heart disease that afflicts the human population. They should really have made this a debate.
And what were the severe consequences????
The interviewer is a joke. It’s the methane not co2 from cows. This is BS. You can’t go on and on and on about supplements. It’s b12. That’s it. And cows are given b12 as well. Vegan food 😂. You can eat a whole food plant based food not packaged. Game Changers didn’t advocate packaged “vegan food”. What myth was dispelled? You just wanted her on your show to make you feel better about consuming animals against their will.
I’ve been vegan for about 11 years now , last year I ran 50 miles for my 50th birthday in 12:11, this year I’m training for 100 mile run. I don’t care what you eat , but for me, I’ve never felt better.
Get so confused with all these health professionals contradicting each other it’s hard to judge what is the best way to eat. I have been a meat eater all my life but would like to try plant base and whole foods. Guess I’ll have to try it and see what happens I also am a type 2 diabetic.
Is Noone going to fact check this woman? Almond milk is terrible for the environment in terms of water yes, but cows milk is much worse. Supplements don't work outside the food matrix? Is anyone taking what she is saying seriously?
Love reading the comments where everyone is suddenly an expert 😂
Yep, that's why they're pushing it on us
Dispelling myths with misinformsation. Good job clowns!
Sweet potato = plenty of vitamin A
Alle the B vitamins are in whole plantfoods except B12.
The ONLY supplement you have to take is B12 unless you eat fortified.
People don't only eat cows when they eat meat. This is cherry picked to support your own narrative. Take a look at the emissions and total enviromental damage animal aggriculture has as a whole.
Notice how they are so conciliatory to the one promoting the status quo of eating meat and dairy. It would be nice if they could be that 'nice' when Earthling Ed, or other plant based doctors are on.
