We write on the calendar what we have each night. That way we can keep track of leftovers age and get ideas for dinners looking back at the calendar. I used to do all the cooking. My family didn't enjoy cooking so they didn't learn. After I fell and became bed bound for months, they suddenly had to learn in crash courses. We use a white board on the refrigerator to meal plan since 3 different people cook and my husbnd is not fond of using computers except to game. 🙂 My kids are all adults and 2 of the 3 live at home.
I had too look. up Golumpki and it seems to be very similar to a traditional Swedish dish that we simply call cabbage rolls. I haven't had it for years. It's really good (with gravy and mashed potatoes) but the do take some time to make.
I love that Elliot will be cooking this week!!! It's so good for our children to learn kitchen skills. My son Eli loves being in the kitchen and does most of the cooking for his family.
Will you be sharing your cabbage roll recipe? I haven't had them in ages. I used to enjoy a Syrian version. My favorite though is rolled grape leaves. Yum.
Another recipe to keep and try. I appreciate your honoring the source of the recipe with a link. Its good to honor the owner of the recipe. I appreciate that you do that. Very thoughtful. Thank you for another wonderful video
I checked out the barley lentil soup as well as the mung bean curry, and they both look delicious! Thanks so much for providing the links to these recipes! And thanks for sharing your weekly meal plan!
