To all the people who think u can’t eat raw for the same as u spend on sad food… if ur eating all smock ramen, maybe not… but the cost in terms of poor health is much more expensive… u can eat healthy vegan for 50 per week, no problem… if u can budget 50 usd per week in most parts of the USA… if u have to make crock pots, u can get a big yield of healthy vegan foods for very little with lentils and barley if u have a hard time being 100% raw or do find it difficult to buy enough raw to feel satisfied… but it IS possible
I live in israel and many fruits and veggies are very cheap but some like mangoes pineapples strawberries etc.. are so expensive , I think I could become fully raw if I found food that I love and can afford
$160 a week for one person is absolutely ridiculous. The title here isn't misleading its a flat out lie. This is no budget. That is $460 to $800 a week per person…. what a joke. Also, no you got the "money, money, money, money" part right at the end.
Even having a veggie diet I don’t spend more than $40 a week with lentils veggies and fruits and good carbs like quinoa etc $160 is a ton of money per week. What you are saying isn’t suitable for many people who work 9-5 jobs or overtime. People have kids to take care of and other commitments. This isn’t helpful to people who work a lot and have a family life. Sorry but it’s not for everyone.
How does one eat healthy on a budget? Eat a starch based diet, with fresh fruits and veg splashed in every day. I spend $30-$35 a week and consume almost 3000 calories a day and meet all my nutritional requirements. It's not hard nor expensive. Raw isn't and never will be necessary for health, though it works if you so choose to go that route.
On the note about growing your own garden, I live in an apartment that doesn't have constant sunlight during the day but you can sprout for VERY cheap. Highly recommended 😊
HIGH PROTEIN raw vegan diets are expensive, since most of the protein on a raw vegan diet comes from vegetables. Cauliflower and green vegetables have a lot of protein per calorie but it is low in calories in general so you need to eat a huge amount to meet your protein needs. Fruits are cheaper than vegetables, but they are lower in protein. Anyone can eat 30 bananas a day with less than 50 dollars a week here in Canada. But then you risk protein deficiency, which causes muscle loss. So how expensive is a raw vegan diet, it depends on how much protein you want to eat.
Great tips, thank you!
Food swaps are also great if you grow some fruit vegetables or herbs it's a great way to diversitie when you have a limited garden.
less than $160 A WEEK?? Jesus, I can't afford the $60 a week I'm spending now
Thank you for the inspiration and great tips to empower us to eat healthy! You"re such a gem.

What economy is she living in where she can afford to spend that much on one person per week? We have four in our family.

Can u make a video "RAW VEGAN ON 1200 CALORIES" maybe then I can afford it… ? If I see a minimum of what to eat?!
