Thanks for a great recipe but it only works if one uses everyday kitchen utensils as measuring tools e.g. a large metal spoon to measure 'tablespoons' like in the video. I used proper measuring tablespoons (= 17mL) and the cake came out a squidgy, disgusting mess that wouldn't set. When I tried using normal kitchen utensils, like in the video, then it came out perfect.
Please update using measurements from proper baking measuring tools (that's what seasoned bakers will reach for and assume you mean when you say 'tablespoon'!)
Nothing worse than watching a food video and the hygiene is not there. Do what you like in the privacy of your own home. But, licking your fingers🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
The whole reason I watched this was for the frosting recipe and you don't tell us how to make vegan cream cheese. Why? There is not even a link here to find a recipe for vegan cream cheese.
Thank you so much for the recipe! I tried it just now, but my cake turned out to be a bit gooey. The 'risk' that I took was I baked the cake in just one layer instead of dividing them into 3 (I only have 1 tin) and baked it for 40 minutes instead…. Any suggestion?
I made this using the recipe a couple of times, absolutely amazing taste. I have tried crushed almonds instead of walnuts, still amazing. I did find it a little soft, especially as there are 3 layers and the bottom layer seemed to get a little ‘soggy’ so i now use 250 ml of oil and it is still absolutely gorgeous! I love it
I just made it, it’s amazing and super tasty, but yes, next time I’ll substituted half of the oil for apple sauce, it was a little bit too much. Anyway thank you guys for such an amazing recipes you are always sharing with us, loads of love from Colombia!
Hey Dave and Steve! There's a mistake in the written recipe: it should be 4tsp baking powder + 1tsp baking soda instead of just 1tsp of baking powder right?
Heads up for anyone following the recipe! The taste is great but my cake didn't rise much and came out sticky instead of crumbly, probably because I followed the written recipe. 😅
Made this cake for Thanksgiving and the cake itself is very good, but the frosting is way to greasy tasting with the coconut oil. Will have to try another frosting next time.
Just baked it. Will make an icing tomorrow. We will taste it on Sat. God bless you, guys!!! I really trust you !!!
Hello guys! In icing does goes refined coconut oil or normal one with coconut taste?
hi can you please say American measurements too? thanks

7:18 KURWA SPOTTED?
loved the cake but not the icing, it did not work for me which was a bummer. will need to work on a better vegan cream cheese recipe
Epic cake!
The whole reason I watched this was for the frosting recipe and you don't tell us how to make vegan cream cheese. Why? There is not even a link here to find a recipe for vegan cream cheese.
yummy !!!!!
Lol it's a mess
I tried this recipe, it’s too dense, will prob reduce flax next time. And cream cheese taste better without coconut oil, it’s too coconuty to me.
Totally loved this recipe…came out so well that even the core-est of non-vegan ppl did not believe it was vegan!
Mayo frostig – brillant 😂
Do you think applesauce might work in place of the flax egg?
really epic! wonderful!
the hands XDDDD

You two are awesome, great recipes, very down to earth, good looking vegan magicians ;)) always a pleasure just watching your videos

Can I use monk sugar instead of coconut sugar? I just have so much of it!
Lol Barbaric 😂😂

I’m so happy you all made this. This is my favorite cake….and it’s vegan…yes!!!
Made this carrot cake for my husband's birthday cake this morning it's delicious!! 😊
How would it work out if you used gluten-free flour?
Wow! this looks even tastier than the regular carrot cake!
Hey Dave and Steve! There's a mistake in the written recipe: it should be 4tsp baking powder + 1tsp baking soda instead of just 1tsp of baking powder right?

I love how they eat as they go lol
Hi how long will it last, and where should I store it? Thanks so much.
