CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SUGGEST which one is better and shows good results- 3000mg collagen pill or 9g(90,000mg) providing collagen powder, both of them are hydrolysed marine wild caught collagen but got difference in price. Also I eat a pretty high protein rich diet so I think maybe a 3g collagen rich pill will work the same as 9g rich powder. Or should I split the 9g into 4.9g protein a day to save money. I get other protein from whey, chicken and other sources, approx 100g from them.
2.5 grams daily is an entire container
those powders are not organic and afaik polluted with chemicals and heavy metals, so that's a no for me
Collagen from marine ,Fish and cow grassféd bone broth with vit c good if u want to avoid wrinkles,. Collagen well-known in Japan …very effective and cheap to buy …DHC Collagen …. That s from jàpàn. My mom is suffering from a rotator cuff tear that has never fully healed despite physical therapy. One time I asked her if she was getting enough collagen and she said that she has collagenous colitis and instead of being digested the collagen she consumes ends up as harmful plaque. I'm wondering if you have any insights on what kind of gut issues might contribute to that and how to get enough collagen despite that digestive insufficiency, or even better yet how to fix the root cause.

I've used collagen for years and thought it was helpful, but earlier this year, I upped my collagen game. I have an autoimmune disorder, affecting my collagen production and connective tissues. I started using collagen 3 X a day, my nails are amazing! They haven't been this great since I was in my 20's (30+ yrs ago). I also try to get whole food collagen sources in too.

I am an Italian woman. I am taking collagen hydrolized peptides Vital Protein, that it is the one I find in Italy too. I take 10 gr. a day from several months, but not always the same brand. I have noticed improuvement in my skin and my right knee and hand joints.
My ongles and hairs grow more rapidly, also if the ongles look aged; I am 75. Do you think it will rejuvenate?
So in other words the collagen does nothing for muscle building and fat burning, as it is actually the resistance training, because in isolation studies show that anyway and isolated studies in collagen shows none of this. Bogus studies always show in combination, throw their name in the works in combination with a tried and proven method. (Coming from a scientist and soon to be doctor)
The problem is if the body decides to use the collagen material. When you supply collagen to heal a tendon for example it does nothing because the body don't know how to manage it. Its not nessesarily a quantity thing, but more like stimulus one.
Can we take 2 different types at the same time? I want it for my skin but also join pain?

I use collagen every day. The collagen I use has magnesium and L-theanine in it and it has helped my joints and sleep. The brand is Organika and it has type 1 and 2 collagen. Not sure what kind that is but I've been taking it for a year and have seen it make a difference for me so I'll continue with it.
Kait, hoave you hearn that Collagen can cause kidney stones? Jill Harris of the you tube The Kidney Stone Diet say it can cause kidney Stones.
I use collagen peptides for my Achilles tendinopathy and I apply DMSO in that area. It helps. My skin is also benefiting.

Thanks Kait, I have some sort of digestive problems not sure what it is yet. Went Keto but now can only eat meat and lost significant weight that I didn't want to lose. I wasn't able to exercise while losing weight so rapidly with my diet change. I really think I look older and wanted to see if collagen would help but kept hearing that it's a waste of money so this video encouraged me again, especially after reading some of the comments from your viewers. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta and i know the specific type and that in my case wrong collagen is built and goes to waste. My doctors told me all my life, that you can do nothing about it. I've tried carnivore for about a year and then animal based diet for two years, because i wanted to make sure i have enough essential amino acids to produce more collagen then. Now my scans shows my bone mass not only stabilized but is +2.9%. My doctor asked me if i took the prescribed calcium – i didn't – and then asked what else i did. He told me it cannot be because of my diet no matter what. I asked him why he thinks that is: "Because the protein gets broken down in the digestive system." He left me speechless. I mean that was literally my plan and it worked. So i figured, that he don't have to believe in this, just report my numbers to me and let me do my thing.

Is there a collagen that would help with bone and skin together? Or do you have to take separate collagens?
Do you have to stick with just one collagen at a time since different ones do different things? Like if I want better skin health but also have joint issues do I need to alternate types?
