Genius video thank you so much for sharing your journey…I have been working out 6 times a week before Covid… it was hard but my body changed so much I felt stronger and better… then I got Covid hit me so hard 3 weeks I was out and 2 years later I never felt the same … was not able to work out as much and as hard at all… I started fasting I completed 3 fasting phases in one year. It was a fast only on vegetable and certain fruits that showed me how important our habits are how important is what we eat every day. Calories deficit allowed me to loose all the stomach fat that I could never loose by working out. I followed this protocol by dr Ewa Dąbrowska Eating nutritional for body and soul … I lost 13 lb within 5 weeks never felt better stronger happier… the fact I could eat as much I wanted and still loose the weight. It really makes sense what you mentoring and I follow you for some time … thank you for sharing your knowledge. ❤️💛💚

Explained exceptionally well!! For me, no, my taste did not change exceptionally fast. And, no, nothing about nutritional yeast taste like cheese to me. I could go on. I simply made up my mind 18 months ago to learn to like new foods, and that I have. I have adapted to nutritional yeast, it's a new taste, nothing more, nothing less.. I quit trying to make it taste like the cheese I've eaten all my life and it doesn't go in the trash anymore. Lol That's just one example. There are many. Love your videos! I wish I had your cooking talent!
Great explanation. How about when you are eating less calories but not losing weight and working out. Could you be under eating and your body holds on to weight? My dietitian has me eating at least 1550 to 1750 calories a day and I am starting to lose a slow amount of weight.

An other great video! Thank you Chelsea! I lost 30 pounds following the starch solution without counting calories and without any exercise ! I hit plateau for 3 months! So I started to exercise 5 times a week and started to count my calories, keep it around 1200 calories! Because I thought that surely would move the “needle” . Instead of losing weight I gained 5 pounds back. Now more than a month I am at that weight 🙄 Increasing of work outs and decreasing the food amount just got me a place where I don’t want to be! Now I am looking into metabolic adaptation and reverse dieting! Did you stop losing weight for a longer period of time on your journey?

you i found any time I add more fats my body changes quickly. Its like my metabolism slows down and I gain weight much faster. Where as when I stick to low fat plant based Iose and maintain my weight while getting to eat a higher volume of food
I still really love making soup. I can eat tons of soup with cooked vegetables. Love collard greens, swiss chard, canned tomato, eggplant, etc.. I also love sweet potatoes, celery, cooked carrots. I am still working on finding more vegetable-related recipes that I like and will eat regularly. I don't want my diet to become too monotonous.
Here in Indonesia we have local variety of sweet potato called 'Cilembu', it tastes literally really sweet, I don't know whether this variety exported or not..

Love seeing a kiwi on YouTube who actually knows her stuff. YouTube caters for the US so it can be hard to find the foods they make over here.
Excuse my ignorance but do you worry about macros when losing weight? I have discovered recently that protein keeps me fuller for way longer (not a huge fan of fish but I can be full and not craving anything for over three hours after eating a can if tuna). Do you worry about your protein on a vegan diet?
Also omg I'm SO feeling you on the heat! Trying to save power but the aircon has been a life saver some days!

I've watched this video three times now. It's SO amazing. You couldn't possible explain this more accurately: Calorie Deficit is the absolute key! 21 lbs lost in 4 months for me now is proof! My family doesn't get it. "How can you eat SO MUCH and still lose weight?" I actually feel so much better eating Vegan instead of heavy, calorie-dense meats and dairy. I love this. Thank you again, and again Chelsea! BTW, they sell Sistema containers here now at Walmart in the U.S. I've bought several; great for organizing the fridge! Can't wait for your next video!
