Laughed out loud when you made the Mason jar comment!! Keeping it real girl ! Really good presentation. Have been doing the carrot cake oats for a little while now. As you say surprisingly tasty. Fancy the look of the tropical fruit one, will defo be giving that a try.
Love your accent 🥰
I always add lemon or orange zest to my ON oats. I like lemon water and instead of discarding the peal, I zest the lemon before cutting and freeze the zest for ON oats. I also use sprouted rolled oats. I also use ground chia seeds instead and save my flax for my evening smoothie dessert.
Soooooo delicious (and healthy)!
I put ground flax seed on pretty much everything! (Why not?!)
When I first started hearing and reading about overnight oats, I thought they had to be made in a mason jar. Lol When my husband and I where at the store he said here are some good size plastic containers to make your overnight oats in. I said no they have to be in a mason jar! 😂
Thats alot of calories to me. I would only be able to eat twice a day
dont u get sick of the texture? after a few days I cant take the texture of them anymore lol
can i use steel cut oats?
how big are your containers?
Do you heat it up when its time to eat it?
Hi Chelsea. I love this video!! My go to recipe is oats with the same amount of plant milk(I use almond), half a packet of stevia, a drop of maple syrup, a little less than 1 tbsp peanut butter, a tbsp of chia seeds. In the morning I top it with a sliced banana. Yum! I love your comment amount the higher calorie and that it is ok. And that way you don’t blow the whole day. I have been trying to eat as few calories as possible throughout the day. ☹️ I had such a hard time because I ate ‘bars’ (easy, portable, discreet, etc). Hard to find one low calorie, decent size and taste good. 🤦🏼♀️ lol never resulted in weight loss. I only gained!! 👎🏻 I was looking at this for my husband, but I will definitely try it as well. 😊 thank you!
do you heat them up in the morning or eat it cold?
I’m surprised that they have that many calories but it is acceptable if you get full
I’m allergic to bananas do you any suggestions for a substitute? Also allergic to cinnamon would allspice do? Thank you so much ☺️
I actually eat my overnight oats for dinner. I’m going to try these. Thanks!
How long can you put these in the fridge for? Since you made 5 servings
I love overnight oats. It was the thing which actually got me eating breakfast. Only started at the end of last year and I’m 56 😂. Now I have proper porridge and omelette! Not together of course! 😂
nice
How far in advance can you make these to store in the fridge?
I tried the pb&j today but made them fresh and hot- holy smoke was it tasty!
You are a rock star!!
Keep shining as brightly as you do! The secret to ranking – Promo-SM!!!
Allergic to bananas….. could I use sth else? Sweet potatoes? Pumpkin????
definitely willl be trying these 🙂 I'm actually from the Black forest region in Germany so love that one! 😀 just a question (I hope not a stupid one haha) – are the measuring cups in NZ the same ones as for example in the US?
Tea 🫖 always tastes better in a cup & saucer 😆
Overnight oats only makes sense with steel cuts oats. Otherwise, the oats are cooked (pressed and steamed) and the enzymes in the oats are deactivated already.
Scottish oats may be a different story, I don't know how they are made, except they are milled finely. An grain that's heated or steamed is going to have deactivated enzymes.
Great video we eat oatmeal almost everyday and I saw this video and was like ah we already make it… not sure if I’ll take away anything lol but I obviously watched it because you’re great. And anyways yep sure enough I got some great new oatmeal flavors. We just tried the chocolate one yesterday and loved it 😍
Cheers!
You made rolled oats look exciting. Is it better to have them raw rather than as porridge?
I love oatmeal but I never get to like overnight oats – because you eat them cold and for me oats need to be warm (or hot). 😅 The ones you’ve made look nonetheless absolutely delicious ☺️
What size are the Sistema containers that you use for the overnight oats?????
Ahh man! I miss oats! I was eating them almost every morning at work before realizing it was the cause of my "intestinal discomfort". (Aka constipation) I cut way back on all grains and completely illuminated oats (had to cut out wheat, barley and rye years ago due to gluten allergy), eventually I will cut out grains all together but I have stuff in the pantry to get through. Any chance you can come up with a grain free version?
Great tips! Thanks! I love the base. 🙏
Is the 5 overnight oats got 5 days, will it last that long.
They look soo good! Where do you get the PB2 from? Fellow New Zealander here 😜 🥜
This is an awesome video about overnight oats. For the first time in 3 years of being vegan I now want to give these a go. I appreciate the music edits too. 🙂 Loving the channel. Cheers!
This is great, i've been trying to improve my parent's health by making them oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Keeping fun variety is always a challenge tho, this gives me new ideas for them and me. Thx for sharing.
Yep totally lol. Bit over the masons
Thanks for being real and grounded Chelz
Don’t know yet! They all look fab.
U r a doll! Beautiful too! Love your u tube!
You’re hilarious. Love your channel! All the way from 🇨🇦!!! Do you heat the overnight oats up in the morning after it sits in the fridge? Or do you eat them cold?
Wow, those all looked so delicious Chels!
I love to make my over night oats with blueberries. Sometimes I use a few drops of caramel flavour in it and sometimes cinnamon. I also love to use sojamilk in my oats, just like you do.
The other day I mixed apple sauce in my oatmeal and it was so yummy. I love to buy already made apple sauce or pear sauce or other fruit sauces and mix them in my oats. Recently here in Germany, more and more companies offer yogurt and pudding made from lupines. Those products are so yummy and there is not a lot of bad ingredients in it, actually they are pretty clean. I love to mix some of those yoghurts and puddings in my oats as well. Lupines are great. They even make cheeses from it and also coffee, which is caffein and gluten free and tastes very good. 🙂
These oats look amazing! 💗 Thank you for sharing! I definitely have to try these! 😁
Made these and they are awesome – i can confirm 🙂
These look so great, I cannot wait to try! You have such words of wisdom thank you for keeping me in check, lol! I was worried first about the calories (my old way of thinking) but you are so right… consistency matters most! Awesome recipes, and awesome video!❤️
I blend in a couple of dates with banana and just water for my oats. The dates make it sweet and the banana gives the creaminess.
