I'm vegan 5 years and my period doesn't hurt as much but I still loose a lot of blood.
Also, I noticed the less fat I ate the less pms and pain I had.
But I like to have a little bit of fat, I've never gone super low fat, I like almonds and walnuts.
I'm losing weight despite holiday treats, but this last period was extra heavy and more painful and I wonder if it was from the access fat in my diet.
I came to this video looking for a way to reduce the amount of blood loss, but this was interesting too.
Great Tips. You could gain your cycle back by moongazing as well.

Been vegan for 7 years, I've been overweight as a vegan, I've been muscular as a vegan, I've been a "normal" weight as a vegan. Never lost my period. You can eat badly on a vegan diet in both direction, you can be a "junk food vegan" or a raw vegan. The veganism bit is irrelevant.

The smart and simple answer is to not be a vegan, period. No pun intended…
A little common sense for you…if you change your diet, and something not good happens to your body, then you need to stop doing what you did to cause that to happen.
Even a five year old understands this logic…vegan diets cause periods to disappear for women. That means that it is not a good diet. You can't argue with this logic, it is concrete.
Other things I hear vegans complain about:
Pale skin
Stringy hair
Abdominal pain
Bloating
Brain Fog
Weakness
Depression
Getting sick a lot more than normal…
If I changed my diet to something that gave me any of these symptoms, I would change my diet and experiment with other foods until I felt better…I would ignore anybody's advice if they tried to convince me that a diet that gave me health problems was good for me, just sayin…
This is amazing. The first time a period recovery video has actually helped me rather than stressing me out to the point of tears.
So I have to have a huge deficit and eat less fat and I'll lose my period?
it is very restrictive actually, or you eat all day long and this is your main job take supplements .The fact you takeing suplemnts says by itself is artificial and restrictive diet

Recently started trying out veganism. Spetember was normal. This month it started around the time it was supposed to but I have next to no PMS symptoms and the flow is very light and the blood has only been brown.

π period loss is not a good thing, I have seen sections saying that they have detoxed so much they don't need a period π€¦ββοΈ it scares me that some of these people have lots of young menstruating followers, thank you for putting this out there!

OMG YESSSS THANK YOU! I recently went through this and literally just got my period back a couple months ago. I was vegetarian at the time (now I am fully vegan) and I had a HORRIBLE relationship to food and was totally overdoing it with exercise. At first I didn't notice my period was missing but when I did I began doing research and there honestly just wasn't a lot of information on this topic and what to do. I eventually figured out that I needed to eat more but I am so thankful that you made this video! This would have helped me so much and I'm sure it is a lifesaver for other girls in this situation!

i lost my period before i was vegan and while being vegan. The time I had a period I was experiencing oligomenorrhea and menstruated every two or three plus months. I also had primary amenorrhea until i was around 17-18 (and I went vegan at 22). so ive spent most of my life not menstruating. im 24 now.
