The best thing about Wil's dishes for our family is the kids impersonating him when I am doing the prep and cooking. It is fantastic family fun and these are the EASIEST recipes full of nothing but nutrition and happiness. He is a champion.
Another delicious recipe! Before I found this channel, I used to make noodle dishes like this, just without any recipe. I love udon noodles! I keep this one on my mind next time I visit my local Asian grocery store.
Made this for dinner tonight, it was awesome! Best part – extremely easy. I didn't have udon so used rice noodles; the flavors were great but I definitely missed the udon. Will definitely become a weeknight staple for me.
Chef, i made this for lunch today. Didn't have gailan, so used baby bok choy instead. First time used dried shitake. It was so easy to make and turned out delicious.
One question I have for you- bought dry udon noodles from Asian grocery store and didn't realize there are skinny udon noodles. This one is very skinny and even after I cooked them they are still skinny. I like the fat udon better. So are there different kinds of udon noodles and what should I look for when I buy the dry ones so I get the correct one meaning the fat ones?? Thanks for your help.
one shanghainese dish I love is stirfry rice cakes!!! I think the flavor is super similar to this one, so excited to make! Also, why do I not have hoisin sauce at home?
So all day y'day I was thinking about udon noodles after watching some of your videos chef 🤣🤣I even ate some in my dream with chili oil and I am not even kidding.
This morning I made a trip to one of the bigger Asian grocery stores near me and it is newly opened in August and I have never been there before.
I stocked up udon noodles and veggies and Korean chilli pepper flakes and came home and made stir fry udon noodles for lunch. Oh man the house smelled so good with garlic and ginger cooking in the sesame oil:) I made it really spicy with chili pepper flakes and also Chinese hot sauce. Had a big serving and yum and my craving is now gone down.
I still have a lot of veggies in the fridge and sure will make soup or stir fry couple more times.
I am also going to make cabbage kimchi from your recipe as I do have all the ingredients now. That is my Christmas holidays project. Can't wait. I was so proud of myself as this is the first time I ever made udon at home 🙂
I substituted snow peas for chinese broccoli and it worked out well. This dish is incredibly easy and simple, about as much work as instant ramen. Awesome!
This is happening tomorrow. I’m sure I won’t find Chinese broccoli around here, maybe if I drive to Arcata. Do I have to use regular broccoli or something else?
I just made this and it was really good. I get the feeling that the key to this is the sauce, and to get everything prepped before you start. Because it goes fast. Love it. 😋
I followed your ingredients and instructions. THANK YOU!!! This is soooooo crazy delicious and easy to make. It has been requested to put on the weekly menu. Rock on, Wil!
So happy to write a public comment. I love Wil's clean and fast recipes, as well as his clear comments and instruction. This guy is brilliant. We often have his meals now – they are everyone's favourites.
Made these tonight with bok choy and it was delicious. My husband who is not a big fan of Chinese food, loved it. Sending recipe to my daughter. That’s how confident I am in the recipe.

On my list to make this week 🙌🏻 thank you for the recipe!
What is hoisin sauce
I'll advise you, you don't eat meat and that's a mistake. You're pale and you don't look good. Once you cook a piece of meat. I'm sorry for English.
I am making this right now and am so excited. Your recipes look reeaaally good!
Such a great recipe! I've made this many times already. Loving your cook book too. Made my first ramen ever!!
I just made this for lunch today using broccolini and some maitake mushrooms!! It is SO good! 😍😍😍

Hi Wil Yeung,
I am launching my Indian /American channel soon.
One request. Can I borrow short commentry style of your's ?
Love it ..😀😀
Thanks
Chef Hemant
Ps.
Because I hate people giving football like commentry while showcasing recipe cooking.
It gets on to my nerves.
Your channel is terrific mate I’m so glad I found it! Giving me so many ideas to take into my kitchen
Made this tonight using regular broccoli (because that's what I had at home) and it turned out delicious!
Love the vid as usual plus that deep sexy masculine voice of yours narrating is heavenly. 💯😍💖💯❤️💖💖❤️😍💯❤️😍😍❤️😍
Did it and we loved it!!! Easy chinese cooking for everyone packed in lovely videos❤️
Delicious as always
This is so delicious. Simple recipe easy to make with very less time.🙏👌
I didn’t see him add any salt. Is it not necessary even for the noodles? Will the soy sauce and hoisin sauce be sufficient?
Made these tonight with bok choy and it was delicious. My husband who is not a big fan of Chinese food, loved it. Sending recipe to my daughter. That’s how confident I am in the recipe.
