Can't wait to try this recipe
ETA: I've been making this a couple times a week, I just toss in what I have laying around. Potatoes, onions & tomatoes are pretty constant, but then I can add whatever is cheap at the market — spinach, kale, cauliflower, cabbage, kohlrabi. Such a quick and easy path to a satisfying meal full of vegetation.
My market had chard on sale this weekend so, naturally, I grabbed some. When I was trying to decide what to do with it I came across this recipe and dang if it isn't delicious and easy — and gorgeous, too! More people need to grab chard and play around with it, it's a delicious and colorful green.
Delicious! Added a splash of AC. vinegar! My first time cooking Swiss Chard and I love it! Thanks for the easy and delicious recipe!
What kind of magic potatoes did you use. I tried to cut mine into smaller cube and it still too much much longer for them to be be done.
I just pulled the last swiss chard from the garden (Arizona, usa) and can't wait to eat it!!
I like Chetna’s channel because she doesn’t put too much cooking oil like others. Her food is healthier
Okay, I do have a question. What kind of chili powder should I use? In Canada, chili powder is a blend of spices used in Mexican-ish cooking and of course I know that ain’t right. I do have cayenne but that would be way too hot – I’ve made that mistake before. I did pick up some Aleppo peppers on a recent visit to a middle Eastern grocery store in Ottawa to make some Turkish recipes . I looked for Kashmiri chilies but they didn’t have any. Maybe I could order the right kind of chili powder from Amazon or eBay.
I like growing rainbow chard because it is so pretty, but I never seem to like eating it. Mixing it with potatoes would probably help it taste less “chardy.” I will give it a go this weekend. Love Chetna and her simple recipes! I bought cardamom and started using it because of her.
Made this. It was excellent!
My husband made this for me last night. So delicious and healthy! Thank you for such wonderful recipes 🙂
Would definitely love more recipes using the veggies we get here.
Hello from America Chetna! We love watching you cook and making delicious curries (haha we try!) My wife and I were wondering if you have any recipes that do not include tomatoes or mushrooms? I have so many allergies but those two are the hardest to work around.
I have been looking to incorporate chard into Indian dishes, and this looks like a good place to start, though I am wondering why so much jeera relatively in this sabzi? There is as much jeera as dhaniya if I followed the video accurately.
Van you use sweet potatoes?
I cannot eat Wheat flour or egg or milk.
oh this looks sooo colourful!! and very tasty 🙂
Ooohhh…. I love your kitchen! Much love from Canada!
Lovely colourful and tasty subzi. Very nice and thank you Chetna for sharing.
what pan are you using for this recipe, chetna? it looks like a small wok?
When do you add the salt
Looks so tasty! I'm going to have to look for chard at the farmer's market this weekend
Those gloriously vibrant colors!
Just made this with some mung bean dal, yummy 😋! All your recipies are "so easy" 😉😄 and "so good" 👍!
So pretty! Two of my sister's favourite vegetables: chard and potatoes. She used to check my mom's garden every time she visited and take whatever chard she found home with her. Thank you for this lovely recipe.
Aloha! Still obsessed with your beautiful new kitchen 😊🇬🇧🇺🇸
Looks like autumn in a bowl! Stunning! Do you have any rhubarb recipes with a masala twist?
