Why is popcorn going to hurt you? Just curious.
I bake a potato and sauté or steam vegetables. I place the veggies in my potato. So simple. I have been wfpb for 3 yrs and kept the weight off. A friend told me she didn’t know anyone who continued to eat healthy for as long as me. I love the food

Fortunately I love vegetables.
I think there must be something wrong with me – in that from very early childhood i didn't like sweets or ice cream – but I was addicted to milk. For me giving up milk was much much harder than stopping smoking., getting of antidepressants or pain killers such as norspan or oxycontin is easy – just a couple of days – maybe a week and I'm done, But milk – I don't know how I gave it up. It was a killer – one day I just stopped.
Also when I eat my green veggies for breakfast (with a little balsamic vinegar) I find I dont get hungry for quite some time. Lucky I"m satisfied with various viniagers.
I always thought air popped popcorn was okay as long as no butter or something similar added

I get Shada's thing about sweet potatoes. I have never really cared for sweet potatoes of any kind – even though I have tried several varieties based on how much others like them. They have – so far – remained something that I have to make myself eat. I start my lunch and dinner with vegetables but despite a number of attempts I have not been able to get into the vegetables for breakfast. This is the case even thoug I LOVE vegetables. The thing that I have been able to learn to enjoy is fruit. I have never had much of a sweet tooth so even fruit was not my thing before foing plant-based. So at the moment I have steel-cut oats with a banana, blurberries and a kiwi for breakfast. If I don't have that then there is a real danger that I won't get any fruit in my diet that day. Maybe I can get into the veggie-breakfast swing eventually but so far, not so much.

Back in the day I used to do the same thing when family members bring in chips. I would tell them if they don’t hide the bag of chips from me I will soak the contents in water, because salty chips were a trigger food for me at the time. I have had to do it once because they did not listen to me or think I would go ahead and do it. They hide there chips now, however I have gotten to the point that if they do leave the bag around I do not crave it any more.
