Thanks for the virtual reminder NOT to be perfect. Perfectionism is a HUGE struggle for me in everything I do really… though I am working on it! I can really hear myself in all the things you were saying to yourself in the past. I have always been a big eater… though, I am losing lots of weight at this point, still being new to the lifestyle (2 weeks). When I start to slow down on that, I plan to revamp my plate to include even more non-starchy vegetables with lots of greens! I do get those things now, but I really like those carbs! I had been restricting myself from them for such a long long time that I am really enjoying that I can eat them again! Thank you again for all you do! You are a blessing! 🙂
Hello thank you so much for your videos! I've gone vegan only 4 months absolutely love it having no issues can't see myself eating any other way!… But I'm having a hard time getting my family on board especially my kids I've got a 16,12, 9 and 6 year old they've always been picky eaters (especially veggies) (especially the 16 year old)… Any advice would be appreciated thank you
That’s what I need help with, losing the last ten pounds. Hardest part. Love your channel! Thx for all u do ❤
Thank you Tia! You are great and so helpful to new vegans, and old vegans! I have been vegan for 13 years. I did it for the animals and the environment and now I see all the health benefits for myself. My weight hasn’t been an issue but I feel better , healthier and stronger. For me, it is easy because I can’t stand the torture the animals endure, I am interested in preventing suffering of any living being. Those who think the animals live nice lives until they are painlessly slaughtered are in denial. They endure sadness, terror and pain for our endless need to stuff our faces with cheap unhealthy food. Watch Earthlings, What the Health and Game Changers; they will help anyone struggling with a plant bases diet. Thank you again.
Eating wholefood plant-based was my edge when I was training. Excellent video!!
I would love more content on dealing relapsing and not giving up and how to deal with being the only one eating this way. I have been doing this on and off for 6 yrs and keep going up and down in my weight and morale
Great video! Thanks for sharing. really loved your tip on measuring to stay on track. Keep going!
I was vegetarian for 3 years and saw a change in my weight loss. I finally decided to kick things up a notch and went vegan in Feb this year. Up to today I’ve lost 26lbs by changing things to a healthy whole food plant based diet. I do count calories and do strength training, but boy I have never felt this great in my life. I feel I didn’t have to change much in my cuisine since I mainly cook Mexican food. I still eat natural corn tortilla and it helps keep me full for longer! Roast up any veggies and make tacos! They will not disappoint!
Loads of truth telling here in this vid! Thx for sharing your insights and experience. Very helpful for all of us. And that cherry oats looks sooo good! You know I gotta be making that one!
All or nothing is one of my biggest hurdles
This looks wonderful, thanks for the videos and super advise.
Tia you are amazing. I have been watching you for a while and I love to see how consistent you have been with eating this way, truly inspiring!
Thank you for being you!
Hi Tai, I have only just found you…..really enjoying going through your journey of weight lost. I am Plant based but have found it hard to lose weight easily in the past ….due to now understanding ……what your teaching me about fat content…..you're you-tube videos are really making me better understand what I have been doing wrong ……you're helping me to make my life stay on track with you recipes. I hope you're going to make all your books in paperback. I have downloaded e-books before off other successful vegan you-tubers….. like High Carb Hannah ….but I never use them. As soon as Hannah put her books in paperback I purchased them and started using them. I love to be able to grab a book and flick through it and turn to the page to cook from. I love books….. and love seeing pictures of each recipe in the book. I truly hope your books make it to paperback as I will surly purchase them. I am 52 and back in my day at school there were no computers. My kids reach straight way for electronics for everything….I reach for books with paper pages and so do others my age, going by my friends. I know paper back books are more expensive to produce but I also know there is a market out there willing to pay for this in my age group and over. Wishing you good luck and success with your books either way. Love your work and what you bring to us all each week…Thank you Terri from Australia
Great video! I'm 55. I decided to go vegetarian when I was 10 and went vegan about 10 years ago. Don't regret it at all. I have a vegan restaurant across the street from where I work. But I definitely cook more since I went vegan.
Another fantastic video Tia and awesome food. Great that you keep inspiring us with tips encouraging us not to give up on the WFPB vegan lifestyle. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Tia.
I've been wfpb for a while to lose weight (I have 100+pounds to lose). My calorie intake on a wfpb diet is about 1400 a day and I weigh every single drink or morsel I consume. My problem is that the weight loss is soooo slow so I get discouraged if I'm not losing 2 pounds a week. When I was doing Vegetarian Keto I lost weight more quickly but the radical restriction on fruit and vegetables to be 25g of carbs per day was really unsustainable. So I turned to wfpb but I'm feeling irritated that the weight loss is so slow for me. The food and variety is fantastic though and I feel so much happier without eggs & dairy.
Hi there! I have just started my journey about 6 weeks ago. I'm down 12 pounds and I am enjoying trying new recipes. I absolutely love your channel! I have a non vegan family and enjoy your time saving tricks and, creative ideas. Thank you for putting time in to help everyone feel welcome and empowered!
I think there comes a point in your mindset where you have to STOP saying: I CAN’T and focus on the up side of your healthy choices by using your self talk to say things like: I GET TO have my baked potato with veggies and fresh fruit! And you have to STOP playing the poor me card. Either do it or don’t! The best thing to do is educate yourself and take it seriously. I’ve failed many times but this is my new mindset!
I just started over trying to go wfpb so this helps and I I tried your lentil marinara today and it was absolutely delicious 😋
I made the oatmeal right after your video for a teatime treat. So yummy!
I cannot for the life of me seem figure out how to have more nonstarchy veg as compared to starchy ones and not be starving all of the time.
Thank you Tia! I love your content. One of the problems I have is lack of community – just as you discussed – but I do find that watching videos like this one makes me feel like I'm part of a big, happy, healthy community of people who eat this way and it it warms my heart and … and gives me lots of inspiration for new recipes to try.
Hi Tia! Been following you for a while and you keep saying "I easily lost 50 pounds". I sure wish that was the case for me. I have been vegan for a long time and i think losing weight is not easy. It took me 3 months to lose 5 lbs. I don't think I'm alone in this. Losing weight is not easy. 🥺
Yummy. Need a change for breakfast
I have finally took the pedi he and started the starch solution and I am so so happy I feel so good ! Thank you for your content and motivation
I have always wondered where you get your headbands! I have been following you for a while and love your content. You inspire me to do better. Love the recipes!!
