I did a lot of research on this, here is my experience with a high quality raw vegan diet:
#1 Energy level is through the roof, this might increase workout performance
#2 Recovery is super fast, this allows you to train every muscle on a very high frequency
#3 You need less protein for the same growth factor as the average bodybuilder.
This is because your body is alkaline so less protein is needed for buffering processes
so the amino acids are freely available for muscle growth
I think #2 is the reason most raw vegan bodybuilders look weaker than the average,
maybe they stick to training a muscle two times a week, but all the antioxidants shorten
the supercompensation curve. So they need to uplevel it to 3-4x a week, maybe even everyday.

You must have a great diet if you want to gain muscle fast. I recommend the Agoge diet, it worked amazing for me.
