where’s the recipe or the link to the recipe?
I add a splash of Edward & Sons Wizard vegan Worcestershire sauce, it gives it a nice kick!
Now THAT I have to try.
I cooked this three ways. Baked it, fried it and cooked in air fryer. It came out good all three ways but I prefer the air fryer and the oven because I didn't have to add any more oil. My Yuba skins were thick so that probably made a difference with the cooking methods.
Thanks, i accidentally found a package of pressed bean curd (thin) in my pantry that i bought it about few years back and forgot it since. I now have a reason to make bacon 😄
Best looking fake bacon I’ve seen. A keeper, not too fiddly.
Hey can we use this tofu skin to make butter? Like we use normal milk's skin?
I would have made it in the oven; it would have aided in preventing the burning of the sugar
Well pig bacon is so heavily processed and spiced its easy to replicate
🐖🐄🐓🐖🐄🐓
Looks yummy
Freshly Frozen! Lol
I will try it now. Thanks for sharing ❤
Where's the recipe?
Here's a tip: In the parts of the video where you want people to hear the crack of the bacon, including when you're eating, remove/mute the music altogether. That way, people can see how crunchy the food is. It's one of the subtle differences which can level up your game a little bit more. It's part of the 80% of the results which take 20% of the effort.
Could someone please tell me where to get these sheets
this is awesome! thank you so much. I only recently started using bean curd skin, its great but im lost as to what to do with it!
Liquid smoke. Best thing I heard all week!
Can you teach Canada how to make real bacon from Canadian bacon?
Dude, tofu skin fries great. Like fry it like chicharrones.
Nice! Thank's
Yeah the whole msg is bad for you idea comes from like random western doctors in the 50s basically assuming that it had to be bad for you because it was Asian/foreign with no backing behind it.
There is no, zero actual science behind it. There have been no proven or even indications that the amounts used in cooking have any negative side effects or affects on people’s health.
Do your own research and look and credible sources. You won’t find anything supporting the widespread myths about msg in the US.
Msg is just a type of salt (sodium glutamate). And just like table salt and sugar are the pure crystallised version of two of our 5 basic tastes that our taste buds can taste, msg is that for a third of those tastes, umami.
If you want you could get your powdered msg that’s been extracted from mushrooms or some other grown source, though it won’t be as pure and impart some flavour, that might be a good or a bad thing depending on what you prefer. Sort of the same idea as sea salt.
If you are a person who for some reason avoid msg, are you doing it because you have a good reason to it and based on creditable sources?
Or because a coworker said something, or you read a headline about it in the 80s from some trash magazines
Love this channel. Hi there AWESOME fellow vegans. Peace and love and all kind things to you all.
Cheers from Canada🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦🌱🇨🇦
There is no such thing as 'vegan bacon'. If you want to eat something that looks smells and tastes like bacon eat BACON.
Phenomenonal! I definitely will be trying this one out with my homemade plantbased bacon sauce!
I love tofu skin, I must try this. Yum yum!
awsome!!!!!!
Great channel!!
How about more tofu recipes? I always struggle to make it taste good. 🙁
Funny….when I see a skin forming on some water I boiled pasta in, or on top of some watery oatmeal, I think, i should use that to make chicken skin for vegan chicken. . But I've never actually done it
I have used tofu skin, or eaten it at least, since I've been around Chinese vegetarians quite a bit, and had appetiser wrapped in it. So tasty!
They make a good mock meat chicken….the Chinese monk's.
I would hate having to eat to make fake things taste like the real thing!!! U must have a good imagination I used to eat air as a kid and pretend I was eating whatever ! Was never the same NEVER
3:14 you probably want to put a disclaimer that microwaving your camera is not recommended. I see that was fake as the wheel didn’t turn..?
I've been binging a bunch of your videos and I'm thinking the background music is unnecessary and a little annoying… Sorry, just my two cents, you must be tired of hearing too, right?
Wow! Cool! BLTs or maybe FLTs? Also trying to eat more plant based and ran into your channel today. I love your enthusiasm. Some of your recipes seem complicated, but this one is easy to follow (I think). I don't like soy, but you put so much flavor in there, I doubt I would notice.
“Easiest vegan bacon”
Rice paper bacon: “am I a joke to you?”
Stop calling it bacon

Hi. I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian, however, the cost of meat has become so high that I can no longer keep up with it on a regular basis, therefore, I need some other alternatives. I've been watching your shows for quite some time now, and decided to become your newest subscriber. Many thanks to you. Your recipes and explanation of the ingredients have really helped me out a lot. 🙂
Doesn’t really look like bacon
Love the "alton brown" camera in the microwave tribute 🙂
Mmmm with extra estrogen looks yum
I've just had THIS.UK vegan bacon and it's the best <3
can't believe people don't wanna go vegan when you can get soy bacon that doesnt taste like bacon but has the same texture
U wut mate
Closest Asian store is 1 1/2 hours away, but I'll be stocking up next time I go! I'm also going to see how this cooks up in the oven – if you have to cook a lot of "real" bacon, sheet pan is the way to go. We'll see what happens! Thanks for a "fake-un" with protein, not just flavor.
