This is what I needed
Everything boils down to personal preference, so far the best nutrition plan is the one that avoids processed foods, no junk food and eat from all food categories. Veggies, meat are both part of a good well balanced nutrition.
I eat a lot of tinned food too but I have started to worry about the plastics in the lining. The more I see about them the more concerned I get but I don't really have many alternatives time wise.
Were those beans in the slow cooker canned/cooked or raw ?
Wow, I never considered prepping smoothie the night before !
Meat eaters are the worst the smell and they spread viruses and they waste money
do you put salt?
Have You banned meats/dairy/eggs etc completly from Your diet?
I live on "no salt added" canned vegetables that I purchase at Sprouts here in Austin, Texas. The variety is abundant. Thanks for a great plant based video.
Don't mean to catch you out, but isn't molasses at least partially a refined product?
No vegan βneedsβ protein powder…..great vid btw…
A combo I found on nutritionfacts.org (which promotes a plant based, whole food diet based on current research) that I like is adding red lentils to steel cut oats, and cook that in an Instant Pot for 4 minutes at pressure (like 10 minutes total). I then add some ground flax seed and mixed frozen berries that are thawed out. I make 3-4 servings at a time and keep the extras portioned out in the fridge to reheat each morning in like 3 minutes.
Also, my smoothies are almost always brown, but often the worst looking ones are the most delicious π
If anyone wants a high powered blender but is intimidated by the price tag, I got my Vitamix used and refurbished from the Vitamix store online. It came with a warranty and everything and was about half the price of a new one. You don't have to have one, of course! But I LOVE mine and it's definitely my most used kitchen appliance.
I just love that you eat plant-based!!
Thanks mate, great video as usual.
Wow,thank you, looks delicious, good I really invest a nice blender,.Ryan do I need to count my calories while eating plant base diet?
Love your videos. You have great content and a very calm demeanor. Thanks!
Do yoi have any websites on all things nutrition.
Thanks
Great video. Very inspiring.
I would add: get frozen mixed fruit for the morning smoothie. Tastes so good and so easy to get a serving of fruit. I also second the notion of adding a two to three ounces of spinach to the smoothie. Makes it a weird color but such an easy way to essentially have a salad for breakfast.
Some studies say that plant based regimen cannot replace meat or chicken protein. Is that true?π€
Loved this. First video I've seen from you. I subscribed and I'll be back! π
Hey Ryan, Thanks for the great video, I am really happy i found your channel!
I was wandering, could you please make a video of busy day while intermittent fasting and working out?
It seems kinda impossible since i cant always workout in the morning.. and managing the meals seems even more complicated.
Smoothies are not sustaining, you will be eating, or at least wanting to before lunch. Secondly smoothies allows the body to absorb the fruit sugar quicker into the blood stream, then if you were actually eating the whole fruit unprocessed. Probably not a good idea in the long term. Our bodies were not designed to absorb fruit sugar that quickly.
Thank you so much your video is very helpful.
awesome! oil-free! what's better than that!
LOVE your videos, mate! Such a relaxed and thought out guy! π
Damn! You really are a busy man! #Respect
Oh yeah! Blenders are ESSENTIAL tool in whole food vegan kitchen! :)))
Mr, have you heard about the " Food chain"? We are at the top. You may eat plant based stuff now, be thankful. But ,there will always be a predator that eats a prey. It will be you, in some life.
Thank you Ryan!!! π
Thank you! You inspire me a lot ππ½
Thank you for vegan, beautiful doggo and not being judgmental. It's very difficult and expensive trying to always have fresh vegetables and fruit.
HI Ryan, I really like your videos and what you talk about, but today I need to disagree with yout disagreement π
My diet is plant-dominant and very healthy, quite similar to yours, and our lifestyles are very similar as well.
I also moved to plant diet due to health condition and not because of ethical reasons as most of vegans.
That's why, exactly as you did, I was forced t oread a lot and get in touch with health institutions, doctor, association and so on to get as much info as possible regarding my health and nutrition in general.
Canned food are not as healthy or not harmful as you depict them here. For example a study from Harvard has clearly showed that eating canned soup leads to a huge increase in the chemcal bisphenol A (BPA) compared with when the same individuals consumed fresh soup. Same applies to the layer used to line the inner surface of tha cans, used to avoid potential interference with the food whose acid could corrode the metallic can box.
I won't talk about the additives and salt added to the food because you clearly stated you avoid these types of foods, but many people don't. But what about the quality of the food used as a canned food? This is never the best or the highest food available in the market. Farmers and companies carefully separate food based on their appearance, quality, size and preservation status, redirecting each group to specific markets, destinations or recipients. Since food in can cannot be directly seen, they use the lowest quality/appearance/preservation status food to fill their cans. You can check it yourself if you go to a food production plant or you know someone working there.
Thank you for the honest realistic recommendation I am the only one in my family who is plant based so I have to cook double once for my family and then my meals on top of a full time job three kids new subscriber here
Thanks itβs use full
But Iβm busy AND broooke ππ
The veggie chopper unnecessary. It's not faster and it takes longer to clean. If your tearing up while cutting onions, that's a sign that your knife is too dull.
Black olives gross. Rest of vid yum
I keep wanting to get a blender to keep at work, blending at 6am would wake the family when I get up for work
Great vid!
Thank you!

So many of these videos recommend smoothies in the morning. Those things donβt keep me feeling full at all. Need something heartier like oatmeal with fruit and cashews or walnuts
