We just had it for Christmas dinner. Very delicious and savory. A little crumbly and kinda fell apart but excellent taste. We had it with traditional sides: broccoli, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, cranberry sauce, red cabbage. YUM. And two mimosas. So now we're relaxing. Will do dishes in "a while". I like your recipes and presentations. This recipe left a few things out that were in the video: when to use chickpeas and onions.
Yet another recipe where written direction does not match video.

I have made this to serve with Christmas dinner tomorrow. Itβs already dry before baking (although very tasty) so I will serve it with chutney and a spicy tomato catsup on the side. I have high hopes.
Why not saute the onion and garlic first, then blend with everything else? Then you wouldn't have to spend 15 minutes trying to cook it within the pate.

Mine turned out a little drier than I would have preferred, not sure where I went wrong.
This recipe uses a ton of oil on every layer that is just NOT good for you, despite the positives regarding Olive oils that you hear as part of a Mediterranean diet this stuff is damaging us all!
