12:07 does high salt really activate the sirtuin gene? any evidence?
does eating less often stimulate producing insulin?
This artsy guy in a hat definitely needs calorie restriction 😂 Energy in vs energy out – 1st law of thermodynamics. Restricting calories has been practiced by serious gym goers and bodybuilders for years, plus cycling calories

How does proper hydration affect longevity, if at all? We are in fact mostly made of water, so it would seem water is essential not only to all life forms, but also with health-span and lifespan.
Hi David, just want to let you know I have followed your videos for the past few years. When I looked back during my prime years (~ 30 yrs old), my work schedule was irregular, therefore, I only ate a maximum twice per day, sometimes even once per day. On top of that, I was an avid racket sports enthusiast. Played sports every other day, (quite intensive), and never stopped. Now, I am 50 yrs old, and still continue to play badminton (extremely intensive – advanced/pro level) every other day consistently, and only eat a maximum twice per day, most of the time eat once per day, with light snacks. All my friends and new people I met, still thinks I look around 30 yrs old. It seems like my aging halted considerably ever since I started eating less meals, and got into intensive sport when I was 30 yrs old. When I see some of my friends that are the same age as I am now, they all starting to have grey hair, and wrinkle skin, early stage conditions (weight gain, diabetes, high blood, cholesterol, etc.). Ironically, I weighed around 130 lbs when I was 30 yrs old, but now my weight has been averaging 120 lbs for the last 20 years, with an average BMI of 20.5. I notice it's a bit weird when my surroundings are aging much faster than I am. Therefore, when I saw your videos, I noticed there is a similar pattern that I have been on the right track for the last few decades.
Everything you said about longevity is so true. I've been following Dr. Joel Fuhrman for years now and he talks about exactly the same things you talk about. Sugar and animal products shorten human life span, whereas plant-based diet increases longevity and keeps the glucose levels stable.
I used to be a person that could not leave the house without having a big breakfast. I managed to train my body to go hours after waking up without food and I even run and exercise. I drink water with salt and lime and tea. I am able to reach around noon without food now (I am getting up between 6 and 6:30). One of the most stunning effects is the mental clarity! I just recommend intermittent fasting to everyone…
I'm curious what this does physiologically for women. From what I've read, women have an entirely different response to fasting then men do. Men are also generally able to shed fat more easily and quickly than women. Especially during menopause and times of high stressors on the body – childbearing/nursing years etc. Women also respond to stress differently than men do, physically, so it makes sense that these suggestions may not be the best for women and actually contribute to weight gain and not to longevity by taxing the adrenals further. Thoughts?
Guess what Dr. I believe that 1 stay away from prescription drugs 2 when it's time to go you will??
Skipping dinner is the most smartest thing you could possibly do because having a full belly with food while your in a sleeping position doesnt digest the food very efficiently and thru the whole night destroys your sleep and also your stomach you can negate this by elevating your bed to about 30degrees but thats pretty hard to sleep on
Dear Dr. Sinclair, thanks a lot your words make me closer to my aims. Grateful 🙏🍁🤍
I am completely on board with everything that was said here up until he said that we have to go back to when people were cold and hungry. I don’t think they lived long lives back then.
I love it, David.
Wish the interviewer would not interrupt so much…dude, control your brain (amygdales') … what you want to ask can wait until he finishes talking.
For those who want to do the Mediterranean diet: do look it up. Don't just do your idea of it.
I believe he also takes metformin.
Check out the Ishaya's Ascension. It is a great spiritual practice to destress your nervous system and experience more peace and bliss. This is not a belief system like Christianity.
Great information, I’m working on reducing my sugar intake in latte’s and sweets… I already drink tea to help skip a meal or instead of snacking… I literally watched this whole thing. What a wealth of knowledge 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Dr. David got vaccinated – come to your own conclusion
But when you talk about little women getting old, you may have missed something there. Sometime between age 70 and age 80 women's hormones change again and many of them lose weight. So anything hormonal that might have been imbalanced in middle age that problem tends to go away. So unless they're eating some abnormally awful things, they're going to have a fairly good weight.
David Sinclair eats one meal a day, yes but he snacks multiple times a day as well. From several recent interviews, I ve gathered that he starts the day with a small cup of yoghurt/ coconut yoghurt, to go with his fat soluble supplements. Up untill his one meal, diner, between 7 and 9, he snacks on nuts and 80 percent plus chocolate.
He probably has a 12 hour eating window which actually correlates with dr Longo 's proposed and scientifically backed ideal eating window of 12 hours.
100,000 years ago people were cold and hungry…..and they died by age 30, usually of their teeth infections. Don't think we need to go back there Herr Doktor.
Can you build muscle only eating protein at dinner time? I didn’t see any muscle growth for years until I started eating about 70 grams a day. Curious if I’ll still build muscle eating one meal? How much protein should be in that meal?
Menopause started this year at 52, so I’m trying to shed belly fat and try fasting.
Thanks
Aging worries us because the end is death. But it is part of the development. The individual is a part of the population. The population is part of the species. The species is part of the community, etc. The ecosystem is made up of many diverse communities and evolves together without showing clear aging patterns because it is more long-lived. But there are ecosystems that perished leaving descendants different from them. The big dinosaurs left small mammals and birds on the planet, right? But of course we are concerned about our individual "finiteness". DNA is one of the "responsible" but it is a whole set. Falling in love with yeast is understandable, I have fallen in love with germinating seeds because I have had to spend a long time with them, ha ha. I love your talk and I agree with the ideas and analysis. Let's see if we can get to age fully and what is the wisest thing for it!
True North water fasting center with Allen Goldhamer. They reverse chronic disease all the time.
Also, Dr Brooke Goldner is healing many of chronic disease with plant based “hyper” nourishment using raw cruciferous vegetables and omega 3’s
Is it better to have that one meal before the daily workout or after?

The Adventist Health Group is a religious organisation, I think their science is probably flawed. Would like to see a more thorough analysis of that study you cite.
The interviewer needs to stop cutting off the professor to explain what’s already explained. The interview feels choppy which leads to a lot of “we’ll get to it later”. Thanks.
Says "you wouldn't drive a car without a dashboard" then says "this is why i have autopilot", the name of the self driving software in tesla, cars that don't have dashboards.
What to Eat & When to Eat for Longevity – Talk about when and for how long NOT to eat.
This whole topic is off kilter.
wow very interesting video, i never saw these this before, even though I've been practicing fasting for quite sometimes. definitely a new sub.
