Kicking myself, kicking myself, kicking myself. I am an avid outdoorsman and I now recall multitudes of potential chicken of the woods harvests that I encountered in my travels, but whenever I saw them I just thought "toadstool." I won't be making that mistake again. I've tried your chicken of the woods recipes and all I can say is this, thanks to you there will be no more chickens dying because of me. Hang in there hogs and cattle, I'm working on eliminating you guys from my diet as well, just waiting for some ingredients to get shipped to me. Keep up the great work Connie. Connoisseurs of delectable delights thank you, all animals thank you and I thank you as well.
Such an informative video thank you so much Connie. I’m going to have to go for a walk in the woods and see if I can Find any of the wonderful plants you showed us today. I have have Been saving mushroom stems for a year now I have five bags my freezer waiting for a video on what to do with them. Have a nice evening 😊
Looks so fantastic and flavorful. I hope I’m lucky to find some one day. I love how you also incorporate the herbs and flowers rights from your own garden. Next time you find chicken of the woods on a dead log, maybe you could break off that part of the log and see if it will continue growing in your backyard??
Huh, the local woodchucks eat the violets that have overrun my back flowerbeds, and they are welcome to the flowers! Enjoy watching your mushroom walks in the woods, which are becoming more and more scarce where I am. TFP!
I found chicken of the woods for the first time a few weeks ago and sauteed it in olive oil with salt and pepper. So juicy and delicious! It reminds me a little of chicken (from what I remember—I haven't had chicken in 30 years), but honestly, it just tastes like the most delicious mushroom ever. I froze a bunch to cook later. Now that I know where the tree is, I'll be going back for more. I'm now obsessed with searching every tree I see, but I haven't found any more anywhere. Such an amazing mushroom.
🥗 we’ve been eating from our land as well. People ask us why we’re not aging as much as they are and we always advise, “Eat your greens!” Or drink them in a smoothie.
You two are so cute !

So happy that you ladies found that treasure and enjoyed them!!!🍄
