Thank you so much for you videos, scientific, biological facts, the best nutrition channel i have seen so far!
I was wondering why carbs have such a bad rep everywhere.
I felt much better since i stopped eating animal products around 6 years ago. I purposefully had to rid myself of the whole bodybuilding protein-hype and started eating massive amounts of carbs. And overall i felt much better since. About 4 to 5 years ago i started 16- 8 fasting, though it sometimes turns into 18h fast or omad for time reasons.
Generally speaking i feel great with my diet, i have more energy, i feel lighter, i regenerate faster, i have less muscle cramps…
There are onyl two far fetched things that might indicate something suboptimal with my diet: i used to have a kind of uncomfortable quickening of the pulse /heart racing after eating some foods, but only during one or two weeks, and it has vanished again long ago. The second is i used to have a tingling sensation in my left foot for a time, but physiotherapy got rid of that, so i assumed it had nothing to do with my nutrition. Also i make an exception like once a month, where i eat a good piece of meat.
I would be interested in your thoughts on why carbs have such a bad rep, an might it not be that certain people like me are more of the carb type and dont thrive on a keto diet.
Thanks again for your great videos and have a nice day
I am confused so if have excess insulin go vegan?
Both doesn't fit on me… Now im stop eating 🥲… Veg made me bloated… Meat made me judged by others that ate too much fat…
Food maybe should be treated like medicine. Ones genetics may determine meat verses vegetable diet but how would you know. Eskimos probably do better on a meat bias diet. Okinawans probably do better on vegetable bias diet.
This was refreshingly logical, concise, and unbiased.
Thanks for all your excellent work and easily accessible and clearly presented information in all your videos. I've been following you for 3/4 years now and I've learnt so much. Tusen tack.
Now, what is your take on lectins that lots of plants contain, legumes, nuts, vegetables…? How do you approach this toxic protein in a healthy lifestyle? Hormetic variation and dosage, total avoidance, or something else? Thanks for your help ♥️🙏♥️
I've been vegan for 3 years. The biggest improvement for me has been elimination of joint aches and pain. Also improved skin and energy. Everyone's body is different and you should do what works best for you. I honestly think dairy and eggs were causing my issues more than meat. I might try adding some fish back to my diet and see how I feel.

I have been a vegan for more thank 5 years, not so much for health, but for the well being of animals and the planet…
My assumption is most people don't choose a vegan diet for health reasons, they do it for ethical reasons
I want to do both. But it doesn't leave you with much left D:
Lots of people said that red meat have lots of toxins takes 8hrs at least to digest and could stay in your digestive track stock for many year creating toxiticy
I think we can agree for most fully grown people that too many carbohydrates in the diet is bad for them.
If you suffer from gout, then the less meats the better.
The one that works for you is the best for you.
thanks for sharing
One of the most logical, sensible talks on this topic I've seen.
Vegan is a diet AND a philosophy of no harm to animals. It has almost nothing to do with health.
Whole food plant based (allows some animal based but not processed food) or whole food plant exclusive (no animal based foods and no processed foods) both focus on eating for health.
I think one difference is that you can eat only one/limited variety of plant based food sources indefinitely while eating only meat would eventually trigger disease. Even carnivores eat the guts and get vegetables that way…
I have healed myself of colds and digestive disorders by eating only one vegetarian thing: all oranges all day killed my cold, all day lettuce settled a terribly disturbed digestive tract!
I eat better and fast now…
This video was extremely helpful. I tried a vegan diet a few years ago for about six weeks, then vegetarian and eventually went to pescatarian last 4 yrs. After studying more about nutrition, I have started eating grass fed meat. I’ve never seen such a informative lesson on what veggies/ meats actually does for the body in this way. This is very helpful! Thank you for your videos! I really like your teaching style and I’ve become a huge fan.
Meat is certainly bad for the animal it came from!!
I would likee to see one of your "replies" to Brook Goldner MD who is telling her viewers that–
"A ketogenic diet is dangerous and is killing people".
It is a plant based site which seems highly biased, unlike your site that shows the advantages of both types for different people.

This is a slightly biased explanation. Most people who went vegan because they were facing a terminal illness can swear that it worked every time to improve their health. The logic presented by the doctor is not well founded. There’s a big population in India who are vegetarian (some dairy, no eggs or meat) for generations. Meat is not needed for human well being.
Bravo!!!!
This is confusing. I've just watched a video that says there is hard science that shows animal protein accelerates aging, originally done by Dr. Longo. Also that high carb diets lower insulin resistance. I'm thinking to go vegan…
So helpful. Thank you
Vegan and whole foods don't mix well. You need those enriched and fortified processed foods
I did try to follow Vegetarien for decade, not as bad. Vegan for 3 years, the first year I felt great, active on bike, hikes and so on… but then it started to go down the hill. I have eaten many times a day, 5-6 a day with snacks but still felt low on energy. Then I had to change the diet. Starting with easy Keto, including IF and slowly eliminating sugar, fruit and alcohol…
So far, so OK. Just using honey a little. Minimum to 0 alcohol. Again, so far…OK.
I Gained -20 lbs at 7% body fat on the high carb vegan diet and am now switching it around by eating keto, THANKS STEN!
