My Mom Knows If She Doesn't Cook For The Family We Eating Pb&j Or Burnt Food,MY DAD COULDNT EVEN HEAT UP MY ONION RINGS AND FRIES RIGHT,THEY WERE BLACK AND WAS BURNT😭
Even as a feminist I love cooking and no I didn't learn cooking for a man I am very fond of learning everything I can learn about food. Cooking is a basic skill that everyone should learn and for me it is like a hobby. Love your recipes btw 😋
My bf can’t cook, like at all before I came around it was Taco Bell and boiled eggs. Luckily I love to cook, and I always have so naturally I cook or we go out and eat.
Guys just stop telling any woman that she is not a feminist….it doesn't matter what her homelife, job, or finance situation may be. We really don't care what your opinion of feminism is unless we Linkin you 💯 ok? Ok.
Both my parents can cook tho my dad is the one who normally does. He seems to like cooking more than she does, he always tries to improve his dishes and seems to be very proud when he does. When I first learned misogynistic things, I was so confused as to why my dad took the "mom role" in my life. I was upset for him, but I grew up and realized that's just how he shows his love. Everyone is different and shows their love differently. People should be able to do what they love without getting told about the things they should be doing instead. Thank you for all the work you do with these videos, I love every second watching these!!
I can definitely relate to this, I am the cook in the relationship and my fiancée cannot cook at all except pancakes. So whenever we have breakfast he is the pancake man in charge. But so many people give me cringing looks whenever I say that I do all of the cooking. He never made me, asked me, or persuaded me to start cooking… I do it because I love it and it’s my love language and so many people refuse to believe that and say that he should be cooking. To be honest I don’t want to eat his food lol
Love how others are telling us what we are supposed to do and don’t and then call us victims and oppressed
I’m a Muslim woman and I get told I’m oppressed while I love my hijab. They tell me I’m not free there’s probably someone out there forcing me to wear it but then they try to tell me what freedom means to me like WHAT?
My husband sucks at cooking. I once asked him to chop up onions for me and put them in a pot and he put the skin in too. I decided I was just going to be the main cook and that is okay
You did not have to bring that up that he works for you. Just learn to ignore these comments. You take everything very personally and end up acting like a pick me or start over victimizing yourself. There is not need for that. You make great cooking videos and your past stories are very inspiring. Don't ruin this.
That has always struck me as the dumbest of the old stereotypes. Eating is literally a necessity to live, cooking food shouldn't be looked down on based on anyone's gender. I can never wrap my head around the non-logic that is this.
F that. Don’t worry about ppl trying to tell you about “knowing your place”. The only person that can dictate what your place is is you. Do what you like and what makes you happy. You sound like you’re so happy when your hub says he likes what you made. And that’s that.
I think it's funny that people assume kind of oppression because people occupy themselves in a particular kind of way. I enjoy cooking and my husband enjoys eating the food I make. On the other hand he will reheat father beans and scrambling egg and call it good. He's happy to do that for me if that's what I want but if I get old and disabled I am going to flip him go nuts because hes a horrible cook and he has no desire to be a good cook. He knows like 5 languages and is an engineer and can do anything you want with spreadsheets and budgets and projects and I can't do any of those things. He doesn't expect that I am going to be good at what he does. I like to sell and he thinks that I am a miracle worker that I can make a skirt and turnovers. Mind you my turnovers were made from frozen puff pastry and canned cherries. It wasn't one of my most spectacular efforts but it was delicious. When I take a loaf of bread out of the oven he looks at me like I just made a new baby. Like to him that's a kind of a miracle. I'm glad that we do and like different things because that way we get more in our lives together.
Women are allowed to do what they want to do without it making them more or less than men. That's the whole point of feminism, equality. Not that women should work and men should stay home and submit, not that women are better than men, not that a woman isn't allowed to want to stay home or be traditionally feminine, but that they're allowed to do what they want without it making them less than human! If you're deciding for yourself what you want without men or society telling you what you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do, congratulations that's being a feminist. Are you choosing to stay home regardless of whether or not society says you should? You go girl. Are you the breadwinner in your family because your career is important to you? Slay. Doing what you want is the most feminist thing you can do.
Cooking doesn't mean you're not a feminist. Being married to/loving a man doesn't mean you're not a feminist. Raising a family doesn't mean you're not a feminist. As long as these are things you want and make you happy and you respect others for how they decide to live their lives, you're a feminist whether you mean to be one or not!
