My new favorite vegan jerky! It’s easy, makes a ton, and costs way less than store-bought. The entire 7 cups is less than $8!

If Swayze wrote a cookbook it would be only variations of Soy Jerky and Just Egg recipes.
Seive and back of spoon ✌️
I’m so excited to find this recipe, can’t wait to try it!
Nice, also, plant meat can't replace normal meat entirely, this is because of the problem of the overpopulation of livestock, especially chickens and cows.
How long do they keep refrigerated before going bad?
Who the ** wants leaf jerky? 😂
I was told by a Dr. That soy makes your Estrogen levels supper which is not good guy or gal… but if true Men should never ever eat soy products at all ever.
Are soy curls not in international stores? They are packaged differently, but I was pretty sure they were.
My family always called it Wooster. Easy to say. Everybody knows what you mean. LOL
I think that soy curls are at least a little different than TVP in that they are 100% soy bean, including fiber, not de-fatted, etc.
I love this recipe, thanks! Keep it coming, you're great!
Why does no one say the oven temperature?
Too much unnecessary talking
I love you for removing the chewing noises. You’re my hero.
RECIPE:
Preheat oven to 250F
Soak Soy Curls in water & squeeze out
8-oz Soy Curls
1/4 C olive oil
1/4 C soy sauce
1/4 C maple syrup
2 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t garlic powder
1 t onion powder
1 t chili powder
1 t liquid smoke
1-2 T seasoned salt*
Mix all except SoyCurls together. Combine soaked, and squeezed, Soy Curls & the sauce. Spread evenly on a giant baking sheet (parchment lined if desired). Bake at 250F for an hour stirring every 15 minutes.
Yield ~7 C of jerky.
*Her seasoned salt has 200mg per 1/4 t use 2 T
Lawry’s has ~2x that, use like 1 T and add more spices
(paprika, ancho chili powder, cumin)
NOTE: Kroger brand Worcestershire sauce is vegan
I buy my Soy Curls in bulk too. I soak my Soy Curls in a good sized container with a lid. I soak for 5 min, flip the container and soak for another 5. After draining and squeezing I park the container of Soy Curls in the fridge. That way I have Soy Curls ready to go.
I am going to have to try my hand at jerky. I have do a Korean flavored barbecue sauce for my Soy Curls that I cook my air fryer. I bet if I did that with some slight modifications it would work for jerky. It might not need modification. Here is the sauce.
BBQ sauce of choice, soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang (or Ssamjang). You can add some sweetener if needed. You can also add things like garlic, ginger etc. It's super tasty.
I like Sumama vegan jerky from the Amazon. It tastes so great, with more texture.
Off topic, but i got a canned meat ad on this??? Erm, that’s how not to target people with the right ads YOUTUBE!?!? 😂
Yum
If you want to be a vegan, stop cooking food like vegan jerky, vegan burger patty, or anything that connects on meat.
How can you faithfully say you're a vegan when you still love the looks of a jerky or bacon disguise as vegetables???
louisville is such a good vegan jerky omg if you compare these to them then I GOTTA try
Is that Worcester sauce a vegan variety? I thought that Worcester sauce contains fermented fish!
Soy woman…. You will see your dropping health…
Isn’t Worcestershire sauce made from anchovies?
I’m so glad you don’t like mushrooms! I am always trying to find mushroom substitutes.
I will not make this, I just enjoy watching your videos. 😊
omg that Louisville one makes me drool lol
Just stopped in to say thank you. I finally ordered my soya curls. Should be here by next weekend. Cannot wait to play in the kitchen. Happy Weekend.
You've inspired me! I made a huge batch for the man~mate today! Happy peeps in this home ! Thanks..
Did I miss the oven temperature?
That’s not real NAZi. It’s soy protein Nazi which is fake but we like to use the word. Has nothing to do with the original.
Always copy meat ? If you hate meat so much why do they always try to recreate it? Weird ? If I disliked something I would not want to reproduce it in any form…That neurotic. We can’t spend a fake dollar. Just looks good on a wall.
Awesome! Thanks for the recipe. My favorite part is when you removed the chewing sounds 😂 nobody wants to hear that
My mum was English add we always had worcestershire sauce growing up and she'd just say it like 'Woosta-sheer' 😃
Pick one of these: WOO-STEER-SHEER or WUSS-STIH-SHUR … either are okay.
I've literally eating this now … but it's Butler Food's own … Sam's Harvest Soy Jerky … #19 original recipe.
I used to live in Worcester, MA and the pronunciation varied from "Wister" to "Wuh-ster." So I usually pronounce it like "Wuh-ster-sheer" sauce!
We LOVE soy curls OMG yes but in bulk lol. My husband has been sending me some jerky recipes lol I gotta get these going yum. I'm TRYING to like tvp…. But I've struggled with that relationship for years lol
Top tip for avoiding saying "Worcestershire" – most people in the UK just call it wooster (woo as in wood + stuh) sauce 😂 we don't have time for all those syllables
Not to be a debbie downer, but I don't think Worcestershire sauce is Vegan; it's fish soaked in a sauce in barrels for a long time, then strained and bottled.
girl how do you have no wrinkles or dark circles can you do an updated skin routine because your skin looks flawless!!!
We used to get the soy curl jerky in bulk at Food Fight in the before times and have been missing it, so we will definitely give this a try!
Oh man, I thought soy curls were the same thing as tvp, just in a different format. I don't think I can find them but I'll try to recreate this with big tvp chunks…
Also, in my country in South America the W sauce is just called "salsa inglesa" (English sauce) because there's no way we can pronounce the actual name lol.
Could you share a TVP recipe? Would this work for that? I have had TVP for ages and honestly have no idea how to work with it. Didn't help that the first time I rehydrated it reminded me of dog food.
Your hair looks so pretty!!
I think when you have more of a middle part with straighter hair it suits you very well you look really pretty here 🙂
Idk what those first two pronunciations were. The last one is right though, according to my New England-based pronunciation, which is informed by the city of Worcester in MA (I know the sauce is from England, but the American pronunciation of Worcester is "wuss-ter," [or "wuss-tah" when considering the NE accent] and add "sure" at the end).
Does anyone know of another society in this word that is fully vegan besides Adventists?
