Love your videos, I'm going to try the chickpea mash. I love things you can eat for several days.
LOL, liked you and your hubbies humor.
Love your videos. You and hubby are a great team ❤️
I am currently obsessed with brown rice, kidney beans salsa and coriander all in the pressure cooker. Eat with lettuce as wraps.
Ps the slicer is a mandolin and they terrify me too. Band in our house as I always cut myself (even with the guard).
Thank you for your videos x
Yeah I’ve missed your YouTube videos. Fingers crossed that your house sells and that you have a lovely new place to move into. ❤❤❤
Not on FB or Instagram or any of those other socials. This is it, but I will take what I can get. Recently watched some of your content which got me inspired to really give the WFPB way of eating another go. Xx
Hey Chelsea, thanks so much for the awesome video! Was wondering, how many servings is the chickpea mash? And where did the you get that amazing salad bowl? ❤
that looks delish. What size bowl is that? I really like the bowl. Thank you so much for all the info in your videos
Why peanut butter in the chickpea mash?
Does a pound of veg per day include potatoes, or is it a pound of non starchy veg?
Last night I came across your video and I couldn't stop and I found myself watching until the wee hours of the night. Of course, immediately in the morning I started applying everything you explained and I already feel better, well done for the authenticity and investment… I will continue to follow and of course I will send to the companies… thank you Sagit .
I love you!!!
Mandolin!
Love you 😍
Thanks for sharing your healthy yummy recipes! Question though… have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a fat-loss meal plan from them and I love it.
Which video were you referencing? I tried clicking top corner and it didn’t work
Well. I would love to watch the video and hear it. But the sound keeps cutting out after 6 seconds into the video. 😞
I make mash chickpeas so often but never tried with your combination- will give it a go
Going to make the chickpea salad, looks amazing, you look lovely with your hair in a messy bun, your hubby is so sweet. People are so nosey, we are all different, some people need a wheelchair some don't simple not rocket science, blessings to you both, the storm will clear and bring sunshine ☀
Good to see you back, don’t feel like you have to justify your absence, you need to put yourself and your family first 😊
Thank you for the recipe. It’s delicious.
Yes, I love you both. Visit with us when you can. You have been a blessing in my life for a long time. Some seasons in life are harder and you need to take care of yourself. After 6 months of hip pain and being house bound, I now am recovering from a hip replacement. If it wasn't for YOU and your encouragement, I wouldn't have been able to keep my weight stable. Thank you. I bless you.
You and your husband are adorable! I made the chickpea mash with onions, celery and I also added a sheet of nori sushi wrap. Delicious! I will be making this again!
Do you think coconut sugar or agave would work for the onions pickling brine?
Great video! Just wondering if you’ve tried the chickpea mash with a white or other bean instead?
Yes, thats a nice brand of nut butter, their mix with sunflower and pumpkin seed are yum. Where are your bake kumaras 😉 Mandolin. Peppercorns mustard seeds are excellent with the pickle onions. The piercing with the fork not necessarily for the potatoes.
I'm with you, Chelsea. I'm caring for my 90 year old mother and to a large extent my life is not really my own. Btw the thing you're slicing with is a mandoline (or non French is minus the e). I do pickled onion too but minus sugar. I often put a bit of fresh herb like oregano or rosemary. I also have homemade sauerkraut, and most of the time, kimchi on hand so I work in eating ferments. For a salad dressing I make white miso and lemon juice. I always buy the odds lemons because they're so much cheaper all the time. I always have a jar of homemade hummus, much like your chickpeas. I spread it on halved potatoes which I cook in the instant pot and then airfry when they're halved instead of toast. I need to get much better with greens which are a bit trickier when your meals can be a bit haphazard. I'll try your chickpea recipe for sure. But doing things when I can is definitely my way too for sure. Thanks, good luck and lovely to see you back. 😊
Try Plum vinegar and water 50/50 you don’t have to add the sugar and the salt the plum vinegar had some wonderful sweetness
Love your videos! You make it look so easy! Thank you!
I recommend getting a Potato Express microwave bag (or equivalent). I use for giant Idaho potatoes and set for 5 min (no turning potato) and I'm on my way.
Your husband, lol! “Why stand when you can sit?” 😂😂😂
Seriously though, it’s nobody’s business. If you want to share, super. If you don’t, super. I can’t fathom why people think it’s any of their business. I’m here for the food, anything else is just gravy.
Interesting ingredients will have to try thanks for sharing ! would not have ever thought to add peanut butter or cinnamon to that mixture. I like to cook like 8 portions of rice up and freeze them in servings then I pull them out that morning or defrost real quick/add to stir fry to speed things up, if I want pasta that week I cook it up in large portion and left overs in zip lock bag of cold water they will keep all week and be fresh and not soak up your sauce steam up bag of potatoes and bake my sweeet potatoes all at once to so ready to go for week but def would not call it meal prepping real insta pot and stove does everything then I throw them in the frig and freezer and pull out and top with quick things for the week. I have developed very simple taste lol one of my fav things is yellow potato’s with liquid aminos and nutritional yeast, large side of broccoli with liquid aminos, lemon and nutritional yeast rinsed and drained canned kidney beans and handful of cherry tomatoes fresh Literally 5 min or less and so good and feeling
Hey y'all, if you're like me and have a hard time digesting chickpeas I've got a tip that might work for you. Sorry if Chelsea has already talked about this before but this has helped me eat more chickpeas.
Buy dry chickpeas and soak them overnight in water. Then cook them until they are soft in a slow cooker/crock pot/instant pot. Usually I cook mine for ~8ish hours on low. I find that soaking beans/lentils/chickpeas really helps with my digestion. Obviously if you don't have the time or the tools then using canned chickpeas work just fine!
Thank you for another awesome video ❤
Great suggestions – wishing you and your family the best!
Loving your simplicity, as ever, Chels! Over 4 years in and currently manage daily eating by using Streaks habit tracker app – my daily targets are simple: oatmeal, steamy starchies, big a$$ salad, potatoes. My mom passed away in December and simplifying to these targets has helped me regain focus on what is most important to me.
Such good advice – keep it simple. I found I was spending way too much time in the kitchen – and I don't need to be. Plus, I like eating the same thing over and over. It frees me!
Great video! Love it! ❤
He’s a keeper. ❤
Everyone goes for baked potatoes…I just thick slice them and boil! Takes no time whatsoever!
It's so good to see you back Chelsea. Love your videos. Hope the prep for the US trip is going OK. Go well great gal❤
Love your videos! In the beginning I was meal prepping every Sunday..now foodprep mostly means making more when I make something. Lots of potatoes, rice or hummus. And veggies are often out of the freezer! So it's so easy…
Just curious about the choice of peanut butter in the chickpeas? I assumed you’d use tahini like in hummus, is it just because you prefer pb over tahini? Tia 😊
