I did the elimination diet and then ate cooked mushrooms. I reacted badly to mushrooms with a stomache ache/bloating. I was so shocked b/c I've always loved mushrooms.
We evolved for many millions of years in an endless summer, the tropics, where fruit WAS eaten all year around. The problem is that modern science has tampered with and hybridized most fruit into the sugar bombs they are these days. Fruit is important for most healthy diets but in moderation due to their modernized high sugar content. .

Alas i eat and love all the food that i now know have lectins in, i have no digestive problems ever, but am a 60 year old male who has just been diagnosed with stage two prostate cancer, I’ve never smoked drank or used drugs and have worked all my life outside, so my diet is looking very likely the cause! Hopefully a lectin free diet will help with my recovery, thank you for all the videos you do they’re very very informative 👍

6:08 what about people with equatorial backgrounds like Central Africans or Polynesians – the climates of these areas DO bear fruits year-round. I think fruit is a summer food for Europeans and Asians but for Africans and Ploynesians fruit is probably healthy all year.

Beans are a miracle food
1. Introduction:

Foods we're taught are healthy can cause issues due to lectins, proteins in plants.
2. Vegetables:
• Leafy greens, cabbage, mushrooms, onions are excellent.
Avoid legumes, nightshades, and certain fruits as they are lectin-heavy.
• Nightshades like peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes are particularly lectin-rich.
3. Grains:
Most grains are lectin-rich, so avoid traditional cereals, rice, pasta, and bread.
Millet and sorghum are healthier alternatives.
4. Nuts:
Some nuts, like cashews, are lectin-rich, while real nuts like walnuts, macadamia nuts, Brazil nuts are beneficial.
5. Fruits:
• Fruit contains sugars, especially fructose,
which can contribute to weight gain. Berries and green bananas are better options, and avocado is particularly healthy.
6. Dairy:
Casein A1 in dairy can cause digestive and immune issues.
Choose dairy without Casein A1 like buffalo milk, goat's milk, or a2 products.
7. Meat:
Grass-fed animal meat is preferable; avoid meat from animals fed with corn and soy.
Check labels to ensure meat is "100% grass-fed."

I like most of what I'm hearing here, but I don't think I'll ever be convinced that all sugar is created equally. There's no way that the sugar in fruit can be as bad for you as refined, processed sugar. I believe him about the lectins though.
I can't explain why this cabbage soup taste so good; maybe it's the sweet potatoes. Best detox I have ever tried:)

All good advice but I thought beans were good for you- those blue zone places where people lived the longest all had eating beans in common.
