No barley in my veggie soup. Does not agree with my system!
I use cabbage, green onions, sweet potatoes, fresh green beans, yellow squash along with carrots and potatoes.
I like barley to but I like to add tomatoes

You need to do what you say. Quantity in your pot is different then to what you are saying in this video. Vegetable soup is no rocket science but your sequencing is wrong.

I absolutely add barley soup. Love it. Also add red lentils just a spoonful and some broken fideos. Also lots of fresh Coriander. I spice it with paprika, cumin, dry basil, dry oregano, salt and Peper and thyme.
