Thanks for the tip!!!😊
Has anyone ever created a hack to hack hacks?
Is it easy to cut that stuff up. So are u saying you just slice and that’s it? Thanks for your videos. Love it!
That's no hack. Rib steaks are trimmed. More waste on a vacuumed pack.
yeah this isnt true. at all lol
Idk about the HI Costco you're filming in but at AZ Costco prices are the same regardless. Go to a grocery chain and the price difference will be more significant.

I remember when they used to put whole in the bag meat in the counter. People steal them, good luck finding them.
Most regular grocery store don't carry roast I look often cuz ur right this is my fav holiday hack cuz I eat carnivore diet ribeye every day
Not finding that to be the case anymore, they’re selling for same price per pound
Life hack. Buy more meat and save money
Never buy vacuum pack meats, it always smells bad.
$200.00 for the whole roast
It saves money over time yes, but up front costs more
I’ll pay the 20 percent so I don’t have to do all that bullshit. Make more money guys Jesus
Its actually usually the same per lb
isn't it the same price as the cut pieces though?
In Chicago, any union shop is going to charge for each cut. It really does pay to get the roast and cut it yourself.
So true
I just walk out of store with as many as I can carry! Like the degenerates do with tools or clothes without paying 🤔
Prime beef is much better and they don’t come that way
I do this now. 11.59 a pound, got 13 steaks just over an inch thick.
That’s still $12/lb. Buy a whole cow, way cheaper lol
Another reason that I like to buy the rib roast is so that I can cut the size I like. The packs are usually cut to 1lb steaks I prefer my steaks be 1/2 lb each.
Is this how the yanks pass their time??🙄
Rib roasts are usually heavily discounted after Christmas. I get mine cut into steaks
This one yes. That one, he’ll no!😅
I did not know that and will be doing this from now on. Hubby been buying the cut packs and not again after seeing this.
All I see is someone trying to find a good one out of a bunch of commodity meat selections. You are much better of finding someone who raises steers/heifers and buying the whole or half from them.
I'd still rather pay $50 bucks for 4 steaks
vs$200.00+ for the whole ribeye roast. But yes, WAAAAAAAAY cheaper in the long term if you want to cut up your own steaks and then Vacuum seal the rest of them, I agree with the economics of the situation.Stoopid they clean the meat also that why price is higher
Ill 5otally help you though
This is incorrect
Better yet get with 3 other friends and buy a half at the butcher shop it will save you 50%
Oh you mean a prime rib
I will say not everyone wants to drop $200-300 on one type of meat up front, especially if feeding a family, kids don’t usually enjoy steak all that much, the smaller family pack is good especially when I’m the only one that eats them. But I was a meat cutter for 14 years, I’ve ate so much free and discounted steak, ribeyes mostly, filets, top sirloin, New York’s, that I’ve become almost grossed out by them. I might have had 1 steak this year so far, maybe two last year.
Also pay attention to fat and flexibility the more playable the more tender. Enjoy
That’s not a hack, that’s just buying in bulk
Only .50 cent difference in price at Costco. Not much of a savings anymore.
Buying in bulk saves money. Got it
Oh my gosh, DO NOT BUY your meat from these big box stores! They are the cheapest cuts of meat out there!! My husband and I own a retail old fashioned meat market and we cut ALL our meats fresh and daily! We buy ONLY THE BEST beef! We’ve been in business too, for 28 years now and we know what we are doing! Another little secret, do NOT BUY YOUR HAMBURGER meat from a big box store either, they use red food coloring to keep the ground beef (hamburger meat) red to make it look fresh ground. That’s a fact!
Common sense..ribeyes are terrible compared to other cuts
And lose 18% to trimming cost savings 2% but hey it only took an hour
