Allergy to black pepper. What a shame. It's has some benefits. Great recipe. FYI. Fat is good. It's a myth that fat is bad.
I was wondering I've noticed something in ranch dressing and all of them they have a strong dill and garlic type taste and I was wondering if everyone's noticed that and wondering if that is essential to ranch dressing
I just wanted to offer a tip to use, Chef. The next time you make your batch of premeasured ranch, take an extra second to jot down the measurements and tape them to the bottle. Just like at the pharmacy, except pharmacy for healthโค
It is the best!
Where can I find the recipe?
Yum!โค๐
Chef AJ is doing the most๐ญ
Made this today. It really is the best vegan ranch dressing. It actually tests like ranch dressing! I am going to have to get some seasoning jars and put all the seasonings in like Chef AJ does. This recipe is a keeper!
I must try this
Tastes a lot like Caesars to me! It came out more cream colored as well. Delicious!!!!
God that looks good. I love those potatoes too. Can you freeze this stuff?
I have made this since I saw Nan do it, and always have dill seed now
๐๐ฑ๐
This is going to be a game changer.
What can I use instead of Tahini as Iโm allergic? Also canโt use nutritional yeast ๐
what is the last thing you add?
vinegar soo unhealthy.. you can do with just the fresh lemon?
what about himalayan salt?
What's the problem with salt?
Followed the recipe. Added a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to bump up the tang. I will definitely make it again! (with half the dates). Thank you for sharing!
Can't wait to try this. I read through the comments and will head some of the tips. Has anyone tried freezing the 2nd portion? Would it work?
Delicious made this yesterday. Just felt like it was missing something. Put in jars & let it sit overnight refrigerator it was not too thin but hoping it gets thicker. Thank you Chef AJ
Chef AJ, you donโt eat nuts but the milk is almond milk and the yoghurt is cashew yogurt, do nuts affect in a different way when they are used in milks or yoghurt?
Excellent. Like so many below have stated. . . it's not (in my humble opinion) that close to Ranch. . . HOWEVER, it is very very good! Creamy" has never gone over well with my BFF, so this will be most enjoyed by her . . . which is quite a positive as I love it and can't wait to share it with her tomorrow.
Thank you for the recipe I will try it however you said is nuts free but the yogurt is made of cashews
Is the recipe available. Some YouTube videos show the recipe.
Sounds great ๐ definitely going to try this recipe. Thanks for Sharing โค๏ธ
Yummy
Just made this and as usual Chef AJ knocks it out of the park!!! 5 star!
I made this today. It has made me so happy. It reminds me of the ranch they have at the salad bars In restaurant. My niece stated it tasted like a dill pickle potato chip. Which either way is a win, win situation for me. Thank your wonderful friend for this recipe.
Woooooo hooooooo finally got dill seeds! Made this tonight for dinner! What a game changer… reminded me of blue cheese dressing that I've not eaten for 30 years… Should be called THE best dressing…
Wow have to try this. Thank you so much!๐ธ๐๐ฝโจ๐๐ซโ๐ฝ๐บ๐
It is super easy to make your own almond milk. Can't wait to try this recipe!
Yum!
I made this recipe last week, and it is fantastic! At first, I thought it was a bust, but it gets better day by day. I only had ACV on hand and it works great.
I made this and it is so good! It definitely has that ranchy buttermilk tang. It had a pretty strong dill flavor – that dill seed is intense! (I found dill seed at Walmart btw). Next time I will halve the dill seed. There will definitely be a next time though because overall it''s a great dressing.
Made it!! Yummy!!!
New to you. Love your recipes and info but Iโd love to see you get a more professional setup for your videos to make them look less like home videos. Trust me, will up your game.
Could you use Coconut milk in place of Almond Milk? Allergic to ALL nuts & nut milk.
This is absolutely delicious! Thank you for sharing. I got dill seed from Amazon (UK). ๐
But where is the actual recipe
Hi AJ, I so appreciate your videos and interviews. You mentioned that you are allergic to beans, soy, pepper, maybe some other things. I'm curious about that as from time to time I come across folks with allergies. I'd like to better understand the whole allergy thing. (Why does it matter? People ask me about plant-based eating and I like to have some insight and answers or be able to point them towards good information. ) And thanks too for mentioning, sumac, I'm eager to try it!
The Truth About Weight Loss is fabulous. Such good speakers and the information is something I will use for a lifetime.
Yay! Glad I found you, I'm allergic to Soy as well
Yes, ground sumac is my go-to for adding a salt sub to mashed potatoes! And fyi it is much cheaper at Asian markets!
Made it today and my carnivore daughter and boyfriend loved it-(husband-vegan by laziness also like it).
My questions are how long does it last and can you freeze it? Thanks ๐
Just two minor corrections in the recipe in the Show Notes – comparing it to the original recipe by Nan Simonsen, which is doubled in Chef AJ's version, it should be 4 T. of fresh chopped parsley (not dried parsley which would be closer to 2 T. or less of dried parsley). Also the measurement for garlic powder should be 1 t. (only the "t" is displayed – the number is missing).
I just did that recipe again, I can eat it by the spoon!
AJ says to see the recipe at the end but I cannot find it. Can anyone help me? Thanks
thank you so much for this fantastic recipe. finding a good, lowfat vegan dressing is the bane of my existence. i like being able to use more than two tablespoons of dressing without having to worry about it. i made my second batch this week. THANK YOU!
This is very good! I have been on this plan for 30 days now, and it was the first time I had dressing on my salad! Thank you!
